Old one. Circa 1910s. Nice shape. $0.35 #ZLT017 - Laredo Tobacco Wrapper Vintage Laredo tobacco wrapper. Unused stock from the Scotten, Dillon Company, Detroit, Michigan. Circa 1910. A large lot of old boxes and paper were found at the Scotten Dillon warehouse many years ago. We just picked up several different types from the guy who rescued them, and he let loose of some of the oldest ones that were found. They are very nice and in excellent condition. The entire label is 12" long and wrapped around a plug of tobacco. Nice unused condition. This is an old one. Circa 1910s. Embossed and gilded with a picture of Lucky Bill. Says "Notice: The Manufacturers of the Cigars herein contained, have complied with all the requirements of law. Every Person is cautioned not to use this box for cigars again, or the stamp theron again, nor remove the contents of this box without destroying said stamp, under the penalties provided by law in such cases. We got the following information from Richard Masemer who was the great grandson of D. Mcg. Newcomer. - D. Mcg. Newcomer was the owner of the cigar business who sold it in 1918 to Bobrow Brothers Inc.
