Heavily embossed and gilded with a picture of monument square in Baltimore, MD. This is a scarce label and one of historical interest. The Monument was constructed between 1815-25 to commemorate the soldiers who had died in the Battle of North Point during the War of 1812. It prompted President John Quincy Adams to refer to Baltimore in 1827 as “the monumental city.” This label is hard to find in this kind of condition (near mint). $3.50
