Morrill Milk and Cream Dairy Bottle Cap Vintage circa 1950s H. F. Morrill milk bottle cap. Says "Milk and Cream". Nice shape. Unused old stock. Neat picture of an old milk bottle. Roughly 1 5/8" diameter. $0.15 #DA032 - Bowman Dairy Company Wrapped Straw Vintage 7 1/2" wide wrapped straw from the Bowman Dairy Company in Chicago, Illinois. These were found unopened in their original box. Marked with a zone (Chicago 18), and so likely from the 1950s. The "B" in Bowman has an arrow running through it which was their trademark and a play on the name Bowman (bows and arrows) name. Reverse says "Guaranteed by Good Housekeeping. Replacement or refund of money if not as advertised therein. Manufactured by National Soda Straw Co.". The straws inside have the name "Bowman" with the arrow through the B running around them in red and blue. $0.25 #DC023 - Group of 4 Austin's Dairy Milk Bottle Caps with Cow You get 4 for $1.00 (that's 25¢ each). Unused stock from the dairy in Bingham, Maine. $1.00 #PL038 - Group of 4 Metal Plated Donkey Political Charms Group of 4 vintage metal plated donkey Democratic political charms (you get 4 for $2.00 - that's 50¢ each). Nice shape. All gold colored metal plated. A little over an inch wide. They have charm loops. From an old distributorship. This size is not common. Unused condition. Various types and colors. We found them in an old store in New York City where they had been sitting in remote storage for a long time. Circa 1950s. Hard plastic. Unsold old stock in nice condition. $2.50 #TY105 - Group of 12 Dolls of all Nations Charms You get 12 for $1.80 (that's 15¢ each). Unusual. These came from the closed Raleigh's Novelties store in Columbus, Ohio. The master carton was marked "Dolls of all Nations". They are made of hard plastic and average about an inch tall. Each one has the name of the country they represent on the base. There are many different figures representing many different countries (please - no specific requests - we're just going to pack them randomly). It is interesting that "America" is one of the "nations", but Alaska and Hawaii are in the group too, which leads me to believe that these were made before Alaska and Hawaii were states. These are in nice shape. Detailed image of three Greek Gods carrying a torch, a cornucopia, and a hammer. $1.00 #TM048 - Full Unused Pack of Shangri La Matches - Printing on each Match Vintage unused full pack of front cover strikers with advertising printed on each match stick. Some say Cathay Inn, some say Shangri la, some say Almond Duck, etc. The restaurant was located on Belmont Avenue in Fresno, CA (directions are inside the match pack). A little over an inch long brightly colored tin litho lady bug pinbacks. They have needles on the back to pin on your clothes. Vintage stock from an old carnival supply place. Circa 1950s. Unused and in great condition. The boxes they were found in were marked Japan, but the pieces have no marking. Old unused stock from the Chelsea Wine Company in Petersburg, VA. $0.50 #SOZ020 - Hires Root Beer Bottle Hanger with Trading Card Vintage 6 3/4" wide cardboard Hires Root Beer bottle hanger. These are known as the Hires Root Beer Famous Flag Trading cards. Says "Cut along line for use in scrapbook or cut out picture of flag for trading card". The flags vary somewhat from card to card. They are very scarce in this uncut condition and retail for $12 each and up. One of the non-sports card books values them at $20 - $25 each in this kind of condition. Circa 1950s. Unused stock from the Western Packing Co. in Guadalupe, CA. Nice condition. Circa 1950. This label has always been a good seller. It appeals to western collectors, horse collectors, and Ford "Mustang" collectors. $1.00 #CC041 - Group of 4 Coca Cola Recipe Sheet - Cheeses You get 4 for $2 (that's 50¢ each). Vintage 5" tall Coca Cola recipe sheet for Cheeses. Has a penny wise cheese dish recipe on the front. Pictures a Coke bottle at the bottom, and says Enjoy Coke with meals. Reverse is dated 1957 and has recipes for Cheese Beans and Curried Cheese. Nice condition. These are from around the mid to late 1950s when black cows were popular. I remember asking mom to make them. Old soda plant stock. Very colorful picture of a cowboy with an apple head and lasso. Who thought of these things? Unused old stock from the Highland Fruit Growers, Inc. in Yakima, Washington. Really nice shape. Circa 1950s. $2.00 #ZLW046 - Walt's Hitching Post Dry Gin Label Vintage 4 1/2" tall Walt's Hitching Post Dry Gin label from around 1950. Has a picture on it that looks like Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Walt's Hitching Post was established right across the river from here in Covington, KY in 1938 and has been a famous eating establishment ever since. These labels are nearly impossible to find.
