#TY057 - Made in Japan Tin Friction UFO Toy Vintage 1960s tin litho made in Japan UFO toy. 4" in diameter. Base in plastic. Top is litho tin with a plastic dome containing a roulette wheel. When you start the toy going with the friction motor, it moves along and the ball in the roulette wheel makes a whirring UFO noise. Very unusual and very scarce. Unused old store stock in excellent condition. They are listed in a Schiffer book on Masudaya Toys by Gallagher for $25 - $35 each. My guess is that they are better than that as I couldn't find any listed anywhere. They are downright rare. They were made for Masudaya Toys by the Kashiwai Metal Works in Tokyo in the 60s into the 70s. $12.00
