#ZBOT093 - Sweet Georgia Brown Liquid Face Powder Black Product Bottle Label
#ZBOT093 - Sweet Georgia Brown Liquid Face Powder Black Product Bottle Label
Vintage 3 3/4" tall Sweet Georgia Brown Liquid Face Powder label. Some gilding. Marked "copyright 1934 Valmor Products Co. Chicago, IL and probably from around that time period. This was a line of products that was made to give "black" people a "white" look. There was a short time in the 1930s when "crossing over" was popular and the Valmor line of products catered to that. That's why it pictures a light skinned black lady and says "liquid beauty pink". These came from the remains of the closed building many years ago and have become scarce.

#ZBOT069- 25 Different Pharmacy Bottle Labels
You get 25 different vintage pharmacy bottle labels for $3.00 (that's 12¢ each). The size varies but they average about 2 1/2" wide. They are from various pharmacies and vary in age from around 1900 to the 1940s. All sorts of different drugs from poison to aspirin. These are great for old bottles. Pharmacies used whatever bottles they had on hand, so there is no specific bottle that goes with these labels. Go pick up some cork top bottles for a quarter at your local flea market and stick these labels on them. You can sell the bottles for $3 - $5 each. We've been putting these away for quite awhile and this is a very nice group.

They have a little curling, but will straighten right up when glued on a bottle. These were found at the Booker Laboratories in Norfolk, VA many years ago. This is a great one for the sarsaparilla collector.

#ZBOT044 - Early Cinderella Face Beautifier Label
4 1/2" wide vintage early 1900's Cinderella Face Beautifier label. Unused old factory stock from the Dr. Blumer's plant in Chicago. Excellent condition. Two things of note. These labels do not have a size or weight listed which was required by law after around 1910, meaning they were made before that time. Also, the Cinderella story has a really interesting history. It dates all the way back to China in the 9th century. It became popular all over the world in the late 1850s when it was retold by the Grimm brothers. It made another comeback on stage in the late 1800s and was repopularized again by Disney around 1950.
