Vintage 4" wide card pictures a policeman on a motorcycle and has a 1 1/2" diameter tin litho badge on it. Packaged in a plastic bag. Both are marked Japan. The cards are all the same, but the badges say things like sheriff, highway patrol, police or something similar. They all have a different picture or logo on them. Unsold old store stock. CIrca 1960.

#PL118 - Politically Incorrect United Nations Pen Knife
#PL118 - Politically Incorrect United Nations Pen Knife
Yes, they do say United Nations on them in embossed gold lettering! Since the United Nations is an international peace keeping organization, these are very politically incorrect. They are old vintage souvenir knives that were sold around New York City right after the United Nations building was finished in 1950. They are good quality with brass grommets and a stainless steel blade marked "Japan". The iridescent green resin on sides was likely inspired by the green glass windows of the UN Secretariat tower. 2-5/8” long. Excellent unused condition. We had some of these about 10 years ago and they sold like wildfire. This bunch came from the same store in the New York area where the owner turned up another case for us that was buried in his warehouse. These are a very good retail item at $6 - $10

The other side says that it is a coupon from the Piqua Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in Piqua, Ohio and that if you returned 16 of these coupons they would "present you with one pack of Remembrance Quality Playing Cards of which this coupon is a sample". The rest of the coupon has writing on it going into the details of the offer. These are from the 1930s and are in excellent condition. They were made with a playing card coating on them and so they kept very well. Got these from the Coca Cola bottling plant in Piqua, Ohio. They are very very uncommon and we don't have a huge number of them.

#MSH006 - Psychedelic Hippie Switch Plate Cover
#MSH006 - Psychedelic Hippie Switch Plate Cover
Vintage 10 1/4" tall cardboard switch plate cover. Psychedelic design. These are in the original unopened packages which state on the back that they fit over an existing switch plate cover and that the flowers can be bent to create a 3-dimensional effect. It also says they will fluoresce under a black light. Far out man!!! Unsold stock from the mid to late 1960s. These are just the tip of the iceberg. We've managed to get into a large lot of various flower power era merchandise that was still sitting in a warehouse in the New York area. You will be hearing a lot about these items in the future. This kind of stuff should retail for $8 - $10 or more as the merchandise is still useable. This particular item would be great for decorating the light switches in a vintage or retro store. Colors vary. Here's another real rarity - They are marked "Made in USA".

#CS104 - Eight Sheets of Seibert Fly Paper in Original Package
#CS104 - Eight Sheets of Seibert Fly Paper in Original Package
Vintage 7 1/2" tall package pictures a huge fly on it. Says the flypaper contains 2-4% Metallic Arsenic, so it is very poisonous. Has two skull and crossbones with an antidote listed right on the package. These were found in original cases, and other than some minor aging or slight edge bends are in great condition. There was a nice sign with them (that we kept for our collection) that says they were 5¢ a pack. Since there is no listing of weight on the package, they are likely circa 1900. They are unused stock that was found in dry storage in the old Janney-Marshall building in Fredericksburg, VA. These are great for the poison collector. I'm sure you all know this, but I'm going to state it anyway - Please note that the strips do contain arsenic and should not be removed from the packaging or handled. We gave gone to the trouble to seal the package in a clear plastic bag for you.
