Beautiful blue color and image of a vintage child. I have never seen this version before. They are very scarce and few if any collectors will have them. No picture could ever do these justice. #CH119 - Extremely Rare Charlie Chaplain Silent Movie Handbill
#CH119 - Extremely Rare Charlie Chaplain Silent Movie Handbill
OK guys. Something like this is extremely rare. Vintage Charlie Chaplain items like this are nearly impossible to find. They came out of an old theatre in Brooklyn, NY. They are 11" tall thin paper handbills that they passed out in front of the theater to attact customers. It advertises D. W. Griffith's The Fall of Babylon which was made in 1919, so that is the time period these are from. It shows the second feature was Charlie Chaplan's comedy "Carman" which was made in 1917. This was the era of the silent movie and so it says "music throughout the entire show". What that means is that some guy played the organ while you watched the silent movies. This is a very good piece and we are proud to be able to offer it. These are the only examples we've ever seen. We bought them right and so are passing them on at an amazing price.

Vintage 7 1/2" tall package pictures a huge fly on it. Says the flypaper contains 2-4% Metallic Arsenic, so it is very poisonous. Has two skull and crossbones with an antidote listed right on the package. These were found in original cases, and other than some minor aging or slight edge bends are in great condition. There was a nice sign with them (that we kept for our collection) that says they were 5ยข a pack. Since there is no listing of weight on the package, they are likely circa 1900. They are unused stock that was found in dry storage in the old Janney-Marshall building in Fredericksburg, VA. These are great for the poison collector. I'm sure you all know this, but I'm going to state it anyway - Please note that the strips do contain arsenic and should not be removed from the packaging or handled. We gave gone to the trouble to seal the package in a clear plastic bag for you.
