#PINUP038 - Group of 10 Different Punchboard Pinups
You get 10 different for $10 (that's $1 each). Vintage 3" tall paper pinups with gummed backs. These are old unused stock that came out of a long closed punchboard factory. They went on the front of punchboards. Some are famous artists. There are many different types. We prepacked them all in sets of 10 different, but if you order 40 you will get probably 30 or more different. No special requests. Very very cool period pinups. Many corny pinup puns. A few letters may be cut off on one here and there because of the size that they had to make them to fit on the punchboards. If you have an old punchboard that's missing it's image, one of these will make it worth a whole lot more. These are a real bargain at this price. You never see them and these are in great condition. Circa 1950.
#CH195 - Dale Evans Pinup Postcard
Vintage 5 1/2" wide Dale Evans pinup postcard. A pinup of Dale Evans (of Roy Rogers fame) was the second leading pinup behind Betty Grable during WWII. The postcard is marked "Western Art Post Card Co. Los Angeles, 9, Calif." on the reverse. Note the zone 9. That dates it to before 1964 when zones were discontinued, and it is likely from the 1950s when the Roy Rogers show was popular. No wonder the Roy Rogers show was so popular!
#ZLC222 - Co-Ed Fruit Crate Label
11" wide vintage Co-Ed Brand Orange and Lemon crate label from the College Heights Orange and Lemon Ass'n. in Claremont, CA. Pictures a lovely girl graduating from college. When these were made back in the 1940s, the whole idea of "Co-Ed" with boys and girls together was considered scandalous. These were made to be attention getters. Back then, they didn't care if the subject matter was related to the product. It was just about making you look. This is a fantastic example. Excellent unused condition.
#ZLBE059 - Playmate Premium Beer Label
Vintage 3 1/2" wide Playmate Premium Beer label. The company was in business from 1967 to 1968 till they had to close when faced with a lawsuit by Playboy owner Hugh Hefner for using the name Playmate. These labels are uncommon and hard to come by. Unused old stock.
#ZZA159 - Elvgren Naughty Nostalgia Promo Card
Vintage 3 1/2" tall promotional card which was produced in 1993 to advertise "Gil Elvgren's Ladies of Naughty Nostalgia" card collection which was produced that year. These are licensed Elvgren items and retail for two or three bucks. The back tells all about the card set.
#PINUP039 - Many Different Men's Magazines
We bought a skid of old magazines that had never been out for sale. There are a large number of different men's magazines that we are selling here that are mostly from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s with a few from around 1980. They are $2.50 each. If you order 30, you will probably get 30 different. Some of the old ones will show ink bleed and paper aging, especially along the spine. The newer ones are near perfect mint. No special requests!!! Some of these are high dollar magazines and we are not going to sort them out. You will get them in the order we pull them with a promise of a good mix of different years and no duplicates unless maybe you order over 30. Many of these are the best known magazines of the day that will be familiar. Some are ones we never heard of.
