#TY281 - Filipino Champion Yo-Yo Display Box
Vintage 7 1/2" wide Yo-Yo Display box. They say "Tommy & Joe Two Famous Filipino Yo-Yo Champions" "present Royal Champion Tops". The box was made to hold 6 Yo-Yos. I got these from the defunct Gulak warehouse in Brooklyn, NY many years ago. The owner told me how they would post notices around town that Tommy and Joe were coming, and that they sold the Yo-Yos by the boxloads when they did a show with them at the store. That was back around 1950. He still had a small pile of the display boxes. These are the very last of them.

#TY228 - Indian Headress and Tom Tom
#TY228 - Indian Headress and Tom Tom
These are super nice. There is a vintage very nicely illustrated 12" tall leatherette Indian headress with feathers and a 5" tall cardboard Indian tom tom packaged together. Both are very nice. The tom toms say "Cool Notes" on them trying to capitalize on the Beatnik bongos of the era too (cool man cool). Very strange. This dates them to the late 1950s. They are both well made and what are called repacks. They were old stock the company had sitting around that they repackaged together at a later date. These items will sell better if you take them out of the package and sell them individually. Found these in storage at that old dimestore distributorship up around Boston we discovered recently. It was an amazing trip.

#TY256 - Pair of 1960s Shoes for Barbie
You get the pair for $1. These are roughly 3/4" from front to back. They are soft plastic shoes that were made for early Barbies. I found these many years ago at the now defunct Acme Specialty Co. in Massillon, Ohio where they sold them as Barbie shoes. My understanding is that they fit the standard Barbie dolls of the day. They are from the 1960s and are in unused condition. They are soft plastic and most are pink, yellow, blue, and green. The more you order, the more different colors you will get.

#TY259 - Box of 12 Hand Painted Pre-War Japan Painted Fruit Spinning Tops
#TY259 - Box of 12 Hand Painted Pre-War Japan Painted Fruit Spinning Tops
Every once in awhile you get lucky. This is an amazing find. This is a cardboard box of 12 different vintage 1 3/4" tall wooden tops that are hand painted to look like various fruit, nuts, or vegetables. The box has a cellophane top and is starting to deteriorate, but the tops are perfect. They were in dry storage and even the paint on the tops is good. This style of box dates back to before WWII. Instead of being printed on the box, there is a small stamp on the side that says "Japan". These were likely made before the war and shipped and stamped later. Even the stems are that old colored wood that you saw in the 1930s. They spin quite well. A friend of ours in the New Jersey area found these in remote storage in an old store in that area and was kind enough to share them with us. Thanks Jonathan. I've never seen anything like these before and they will be new to the world of top collectors.
