Don's Music - Chordslinger As many of you know, several years ago we had a fire and lost all of our inventory. During that period of time, I was very upset and started writing music to uplift my spirits. I recorded it with my synthesizer to multiple tracks. I play all of the instruments and control all of the rhythms. Below is a sample of two of the songs. I am considering recording a full CD of them. If you have any feedback on these songs, let me know by email at postmaster@oldstuffonly.com
I hope you enjoy them. - Don Wallingford Click the right arrow above to hear the song "Frenzy" by "Chordslinger" AKA Don Wallingford Copyright 2008

Hey Don - Stanley R. here from N.Y. Antique & Collectible. I can totally identify with a similar loss when I lost an antique shop amount of merchandise because of hurricane Charley down in Florida a few years back. Frenzy is very uplifting and carries a hopeful/positive message. I can identify with why it is significant to you 100%. I write music also and it can be very theraputic to express in that fashion instead of going over the deep end.
Finally, the white man’s answer to Native American flute (music-which is great stuff)! When can you get this CD onto the market? This stuff energizes the spirit and relaxes at the same time…………..verrrrry good! - David E.
I found your shop online by accident and bought from you quite a few times. Your merchandise is the most awesome fill in items for what I do on & off line. Your merchandise, for the most part, is impossible to find and the condition is pristine. You are of a limited breed that offers things like this and NOONE matches your pricing. You's also have the best actual shipping charges on the planet.
Keep on writing music, keep it real & put them all on disc. I'll buy a few. Thanks for everything you guys do for my business and historic preservation. Items you carry would have probably been lost forever. I cannot even relay the joy my customers have expressed due to me being a "middleman" and getting them that item they have sought to find.

Hi Don, I am new to your website, have bought stuff a couple times for my antique co-op shop in Medford NJ. I didn't know about the fire and sorry nonetheless to learn of it. I listened to your music and I like it - I like Frenzy the best, I think the tune is more versatile and interesting and I think you should go ahead a make a CD. It did bring me back to the early days of the MOOG synthesizers. Good luck and keep us up to date. - Laurie Riviello ________________________________________________________________________________________
Good job! I enjoyed "Frenzy" a lot................reminded me a bit of Manheim Steam Roller................not a bad comparison, huh? Anyway, nice work! - Nancy Buchan
Don, I think those are some great sounds! Your first song, FRENZY, made me think that there should be some monastic chants or “foreign type” chanting with it. I’m not sure I’m describing it right, but it just seemed to me it would be very cool to add a monk type chant.
Your second tune, BREAKING FREE, made me think that the only thing missing was some cool B-52’s lyrics. I think Fred Schneider and his typical spoken word type delivery against the background vocals of “the girls”, Cindy & Kate would make an awesome song. Have you ever thought of lyrics? I also love synthesizer music, so don’t get me wrong, these songs are great as is, but if a person can dream… Keep up the good work. I enjoyed the preview. - Becky Sherwood - Lincoln, Nebraska USA ________________________________________________________________________________________
Your music is good Don. Sorry to hear of your tragic fire though. I was thinking this might be great as music to buy, by in the antique stores and then you'd have an added market for the CD's right here. I love your stuff, keep it up. - Thanks, Kathy ________________________________________________________________________________________
