#MS020 - Big Brother Overalls Snap
Vintage 5/8" diameter copper and steel front snap for overalls. We picked these up at a garage sale in Fairhaven, Ohio. They came from a lady in her 90s whose husband had worked at a local company that made overalls in the 1950s. She had thrown them in a mason jar. Interestingly, we found several refences to Big Brother and overalls in George Orwells book 1984. Perhaps, that was the inspiration for the name of the overalls. In any case, these are in great condition.

The tags (I only have two of them which I am keeping) are dated 1890. Because the bags were sealed, the corks are like new and are a great size for many old salt and pepper shakers.
