#TY123 - Comic Clock Toy with Captain Marvel and Others
Vintage 10" tall toy marked "Oscar and Friday's Comic Clock". Cardboard cutouts in a pictorial paper envelope. Instructions for assembly on back of envelope. Cardboard punchouts inside are uncut and in perfect condition. This is a good one. When you assemble it, the dial on the cardboard clock pictures and says Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr., Willie the Worm, and others. Found in an old grocery store closet in Tampa, Fl. Circa mid 1940s. These are in very good condition.
$3.50
#TY025 - Large Tin Toy Friction Police Motorcycle
Large 8" wide vintage friction tin toy police motorcycle. In original box. Excellent condition. Both box and motorcycle are marked "Made in Japan". Circa 1960s. Unsold stock found at the closed Nomura factory in Japan.
$10.00
#CH079 - Ken Maynard Trick Rope in Original Cellophane Package
Vintage 1940's Ken Maynard toy TRICK ROPE in original package. 11" wide package says "toy trick rope - with the patented embedded swivel". These are in their original cellophane packaging (which is quite brittle and has tears), but the card and rope are in perfect condition. Even has a fake autograph on it. The patent number on the card is from the mid 1930s, however, guaging by how old he looks in the picture, I'd guess they are from around 1940. With his white cowboy hat, fancy shirt, and pair of six-shooters, Maynard appeared in more than 90 films from the 1920s to the mid-1940s before his career was ended by alcoholism. This was a warehouse find, but it wasn't huge and these won't be around forever. Trick ropes were sold by a lot of cowboy movie stars during this time period and usually go for $100 or more. This is a great item.
$9.50
#TY116 - Mechanical Keywind Scurry Mouse in Original Box
Vintage boxed mechanical scurry mouse. Marked Yone and Made in Japan. The mouse is about 4" long and is made entirely of lithograped tin and rubber. You wind up the key and he scurries around on the floor and tumbles over. Still works well. Excellent condition, but the box may have some very minor dings. Great graphics. Unsold old store stock. It's getting harder and harder for us to find Made in Japan boxed keywinds like this. Order early so you don't miss out. Circa 1950s.
$12.50
#TY063 - Very Large Tin Litho Circus Horn
These are fantastic. They are over 15" long and have a great tin litho image of circus performers. Marked "No. 1 Made in Japan". They have a plastic mouthpiece. The bottom has an image of a horse and carriage that says "World Circus" on it. These are vintage old stock that were found in a defunct factory in Japan. Excellent condition. Circa 1950s.
$3.00
#CH044 - Set of 8 1960s Fashion Model Mirrors
You get 8 of these vintage toys for $4 (Great deal - that's only 50¢ each!). They are 2" diameter carnival prize giveaways. We just found these in an old store in Pennsylvania where they had been sitting since the mid 1960s. One side is a mirror and the other side has a picture of a model. I thought the one was Twiggy, but Chris thinks it is Jean Shrimpton. The one with the hair on top of her head appears to be Bonnie Trompeter, and we couldn't figure out the other one. Email us if you think you know who she is. Most of them are marked Japan, but some don't have any mark. You will get a good mixture.
$4.00
#TY106 - Keds Space Yo-Yo Puzzle Decoder Whistle
These are vintage Keds premiums found in storage in an old shoe store. They come in a cellophane package with directions. They explain how it is a yo-yo with a space puzzle and whistle in the side. The whistle area of the yoyo has the letters of the alphabet with long and short dashes next to them. The directions say that you blew long or short whistles according to the code to send out messages. It also has a list of "astronaut talk" including the term "photon engine" which was a popular idea in the 1950s which is the time period they are from. You may see one of these around once in a while, but not likely mint in the cellophane package like this with the directions. The ones I've seen before are used and don't have directions. In that condition, they go for around $25 each. These should be better.
$12.50
#TY120 - Made in Japan Cat and Fishbowl Clicker

#TY046 - Boxed Tin Litho Pop Pop Boat
5 1/4" long candle powered vintage tin litho pop pop boat. Still in the original box. These are old stock that were found in a defunct factory in Japan. They are marked "Made in Japan" (in English) and come with candles. The writing on the box is Japanese and there is a sticker giving directions in German. Excellent condition. Circa 1960s. I've seen several variations of these over the years and this is one of the nicest ones with bright colors and excellent details.
$10.00
#CH029 - Yogi Bear Fortune Teller
Vintage 4 1/4" tall sealed plastic envelope has a Yogi Bear character in it that you place on your hand. The heat of your hand makes it either move the head, foot, both or neither. Sometimes they curl up or flip all the way over. Directions on the back explain what your fortune is depending on what it does. Marked copyright Hanna Barbera Productions Inc, 1977. They were made right around that time.
$0.25
#TY058 - Made in Japan Toy Convair Tin Litho Friction Plane
Vintage 1960s tin litho made in Japan friction plane in original packaging. Fairly large 7" long friction toy in excellent unused condition. Unsold stock from the long ago defunct plant in Japan where they were made for export to the US.
$5.00
#TY107 - Large 1950s Made in Japan Tin Toy Boat
Very large vintage 12” long tin litho toy boat. Brightly colored with heavy embossing. Area with driver is raised, and the windshield is a 3/4” solid piece of tin that raises up above the rest of the boat. Has maker’s mark “ST” and says "Made in Japan". They were made as bathtub toys for kids in the 1950s. They doubled as a huge rattle and will rattle if you shake them. Super nice. There is some very minor case wear. Almost no tin litho toys this large have survived in this kind of incredible condition because most were used in bathtubs and around water which caused them to rust.
$15.00
#TY076 - Group of 4 Boxed Tin Globe Pencil Sharpeners
You get 4 for $4 (that's $1 each). Nearly 3" tall vintage pencil sharpeners in original boxes. The globes are made of tin and the rest is hard plastic. Boxes are nice and colorful. These should sell to pencil sharpener collectors, globe collectors, and 60s toy collectors who want items in original boxes. We just found them in an old store in Pennsylvania where they had been sitting since the mid 1960s. Unsold old stock in really nice condition. They had been selling them over the years as carnival prizes.
$4.00

You get 3 for $3 (that's $1 each). Vintage Wrigley's gum snapping trick. Made of cardboard, paper, and metal and marked "Made in Japan". They still work and are the same size and look just like a real pack of gum except for the spelling of Wrigley's (they spelled it Wriggeyl's). Neat circa 1950s novelty in great shape. Unsold old stock found in warehouse storage.
