##MUSICBP1164 - Group of 3 Different Nelson Mandela OTTO Laminated Backstage Passes from the 1990 Free South Africa Celebration at Oakland Stadium

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image of both sides of the passes. You will get three passes as pictured for $9 (that's $3 each). Vintage 4 1/4" tall unmarked OTTO laminated backstage passes. These are from the Nelson Mandela appearance and musical celebration at Oakland Stadium on June 30, 1990 and are marked as such. There is one for production, one for performers, and one for stage hands.

Mandela had been imprisoned for various things over the years related to his activities to free South Africa, and was released for the last time on February 11, 1990 just a couple of months before this celebration of South Africa's freedom in Oakland. In 1993, he won the Nobel Peace Prize, and on May 10, 1994 he became South Africa's first democratically elected president. It's an incredible story. The passes are in excellent unused condition.

#BF241 - Unusual and Rare Gayla Cola Soda Cap - Contained Coca Leaf (cocaine)

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage unusual and rare cork lined Gayla Cola soda bottle cap. 1940s . Incredibly, these are marked "Extractions of Kola, Coca Leaf, Essential Oils". Now of course, Coca Leaf contains cocaine. I am not sure how they got away with this. The side of the caps are marked "Booth Bottling Company Inc., Philadelphia, PA.". Additionally, there is some gay interest with this name. They are in unused condition. They are very nice for a cap from this time period. They only show very minor signs of aging. They came from the estate of the late Larry "The Bottleman" Johnson, who was a friend. Larry was a picker his whole life, and he will be missed by the antique community.

#TMSpirits070 - Group of 12 Cinci Cream Lager Beer Menu Signs

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 12 for $3 (that's 25¢ each). Vintage 11" tall thin cardboard Cinci Cream Lager Beer advertising menu sheet. They were given to restaurants to list their daily specials or other items on and tack on the wall. Back around 1880, Cincinnati was the beer capital of the world. More beer was sold from Cincinnati breweries than anywhere in the world, and it was widely claimed to be the best in the world. In 1882, a company in Canada started making what they called Cincinnati Cream beer to capitalize on the phenomena. They supposedly copied the beer recipe from a Cincinnati company whose name they would not divulge. Apparently it worked as they were in business for a long long time. Around the 1970s, the beer was imported back in the U.S. because of it's popularity in Canada. These are from that time period. Excellent unused condition from the distributor warehouse in Baltimore, MD.
