#CC227 - Coca Cola Unused 1974 Large Calendar with Santa on Cover
Vintage 21 1/2" tall twelve month 1974 Coke Calendar. The cover has an amazing Santa image that pictures a Coke bottle on the mantle with a note to Santa that says "Dear Santa" "Please Pause Here, Jimmy". The other pages picture Coke calendars of the past. There are six huge pictures of the Coke ladies of the 1920s on different pages.  These have a lot going on and are highly collectible with Christmas and Coke collectors. We just bought part of a huge collection of Coke items. These were part of the lot. The fellow that had this stuff is a friend who searched old bottling plants and hauled most of this stuff out many years ago. They are in excellent unused condition with some rust marks around the staples at the very top.

#BEADS0861 - Strand of 24 Large Cherry Brand Glass 12mm Translucent Rose Baroque (Dimpled) Glass Beads
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 24 Beads for $3.50 (14¢ each). Vintage temporary strand of fancy Cherry Brand Japanese Baroque beads. They are large heavy 12mm diameter rose colored translucent glass beads. The glass is very beautiful with dimples (they called it Baroque on the master case). These were made by hand using old techniques. The crude shapes and unusual dimple really enhance the look. These are 1940s Cherry Brand (company only existed from 1946 - 1951). As you may know, Cherry Brand was considered the highest quality Japanese bead maker. This is a very fresh find we made from a dealer in New York who originally purchased them in the 1940s. These are very hard to find, very nice, and have never seen the light of day. Click on the image to see a larger picture with more detail.

#CH204 - Topo Gigio (Ed Sullivan Show) Keychain
#CH204 - Topo Gigio (Ed Sullivan Show) Keychain
Vintage 1 1/2" tall plastic Topo Gigio figure with hand painted feature attached to a decent quality and still useable keychain. Topo Gigio was the lead character of a children's puppet show on Italian and Spanish television in the early 1960s. The puppet became famous when he became a regular on The Ed Sullivan Show in the Mid 1960s. In 1965, a feature length motion picture "The Adventures of Topo Gigio" was released internationally. These are not licensed, but are clearly Topo Gigio figures. Based on the age of the boxes we found them in, they are from the heyday in the mid 1960s. Unused old store stock we found at our favorite toy store. Great condition. There area a couple of different color variations. If you order more than one, you will get at least two different.

All are marked Blumers or Lincoln Chemical (same company) Chicago, Illinois. They are great for putting on bottles. Different size and colors. We acquired these from long time dealer Lorie Cairns who recently sold us her inventory. Lorie was one of the pioneers in this business and we are very grateful to her. Excellent unused condition.

##MUSICGD2038 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Bear in Bus Saying Who are the Dead
##MUSICGD2038 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Bear in Bus Saying Who are the Dead
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage larger 10" wide Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from the 1980s. It features a bear waving from his Volkswagen bus and saying "Who are the Dead and Why are They Following Me.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

#CH326-24 - Johnny Weissmuller as Jungle Jim in The Lost Tribe Movie Poster/Broadside
#CH326-24 - Johnny Weissmuller as Jungle Jim in The Lost Tribe Movie Poster/Broadside
Vintage 13" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1949 Johnny Weissmuller movie "The Lost Tribe" where Johnny starred as Jungle Jim. Please click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.
