#SIGN228 - Double Sided Florida Tangeriines Zipper- Skins Sign
#SIGN228 - Double Sided Florida Tangeriines Zipper- Skins Sign
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Fantastic vintage full color 13" tall two-sided paper sign with an image of oranges on the branch and the "Zipper" mascot saying "They're Zipper Skins". They are the same front and back. They are two separate signs that are joined at the top and were meant to hang over a wire or string. They can easily be cut apart and sold separately. These are super colorful. Marked "1979 State of Florida Department of Citrus". They came from the basement of a large store in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania called Trimble's. They got signs with their deliveries and threw them in piles in the basement. One of our long time customers rescued these (thank's Bob) and a number of others. They were never used, and are in excellent condition except for very minor aging or slight creases across the top.

#ZZStock054 - Crowell Collier and Macmillan, Inc. Stock Certificate
(Click the image to view the full certificate) Vintage 12" wide stock certificate from "Crowell Collier and Macmillan, Inc". These are are all from the 1960s when the well known Macmillan Publishers merged with Crowell Collier. They were used, but someone took really good care of them. There are no staples or bends. The company spilt and merged several times. More recently the remnants of the company had a rough time because of competition from the internet. They were bought out again and rebranded under the Macmillan name again.

#ZLCA135 - Very Rare Large Kirk Pumpkin Can Label
#ZLCA135 - Very Rare Large Kirk Pumpkin Can Label
Vintage colorful large 12 3/4" wide Kirk stone litho pumpkin label from the 1920s. These went on a large 1lb 11 oz can and look very Halloweenish. They are the only example known! I just picked them up as part of a haul from a closed tourist ghost town in Northern, Ohio. They are unused old stock that the ghost town owner bought from the David Kirk Sons Co. Wholesale Grocery in Findlay, Ohio a long time ago. He had used a few to put on cans that he set around the ghost town. Brilliant colors and unused condition.  Once these are gone, there are no more anywhere and there aren't that many. Click on the image to see the large detailed picture. These are nice.

##MUSICGD2014 - Large Grateful Dead Tour Sticker/Decal - Electrified Skeleton Dancing on a Mushroom
##MUSICGD2014 - Large Grateful Dead Tour Sticker/Decal - Electrified Skeleton Dancing on a Mushroom
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage large 6 3/4" tall Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals. This type sticks on the outside of glass or a mirror or your pocket. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from the early 1990s. The decal features an electrified skeleton dancing on a psychedelic mushroom. Excellent unused condition.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

#ZL200 - Rare Heinle's Jockey Club Carbonated Root Beer Label with Racehorse - As low as $1 each
#ZL200 - Rare Heinle's Jockey Club Carbonated Root Beer Label with Racehorse - As low as $1 each
Click the picture to see a larger image. Here is an unusual and rare soda label. They are 4 1/2" wide and say "Heinle's Jockey Club Carbonated Root Beer" on them. Really nice image of a jockey on a leaping racehorse. These are the only examples we have ever seen. Heinle's was a Hires competitor back in the 1800s and sold extract and bottled root beer. In 1913, they were taken to court for violation of the Pure Food and Drug Act, and from what I can tell were out of business by 1915. These labels are likely from somewhere between 1900 and 1910. They were located at the Chas. L. Heinle & Co. building at 2731 Kensington Ave, Philadelphia, PA. They came from the estate of a long time dealer in Wisconsin. We would normally price these much higher because none of the root beer collectors have them, but we bought them right, so we are passing a great price on to you. These labels are in excellent unused condition for their age.
