Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage larger size 11 1/4" wide Wayne Carrots can label. This is one of the rarest of the Wayne can labels. It has a fantastically colorful stone litho image of a clump of carrots on one side and General Wayne on the other. Circa 1920s. Says "Wayne Brand Carrots" "Edgett-Burnham Company. Newark, New York". They are unused old factory stock in nice shape. We got these from the estate of the famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist.

Vintage 1 7/8" tall poster stamp. These are circa 1940 and say "Charity Football Stadium Nov. 25". These advertised charity football games that were in Cleveland, Ohio and are ungummed (none in the series were gummed).  Poster (also called Cinderella) stamps were issued as advertising, but not for postal purposes. Most of them, like these, are larger than regular stamps. They are widely collected. These are in excellent unused condition and are uncommon. They were found at the estate of a Cleveland stamp dealer.

Excellent condition. Very few full candy or cough drop boxes from this era have survived because the varmints usually got to them.

Vintage 1" tall thick heavy brass charm. This was a popular symbol in the hippie era. It was the symbol for the god Mars, and signifies a male. They were made by Kim Co. in New York in the late 1960s for hippie decoration. Excellent unused condition. We found these in remote storage at the old Kim Co. building in New York, and they have the Kim copyright mark on them. Both sides are pictured. Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage Dennis the Menace Happy Birthday table cloth. When unfolded these are a full 8 feet long by 4 feet wide. They have repeated images that say "Happy Birthday" and picture Dennis and friends. Marked "Copyright Hank Ketchum Enterprises, Inc." on one panel. Circa 1970s. They are very uncommon. They came from a long closed warehouse in the Chicago area. We uncovered them very recently. There are 12 sections on the table cloth that show Dennis and friends. One section has some slight aging discoloration as shown in the large picture. The rest are in excellent condition and super colorful. Unsold old store stock.

I showed the reverse image on the picture so you could see now they look when applied. One has Davy Crockett wrestling a bear and says "Davy Crockett Great Hunter". Another has him fighting an Indian and says "Davy Crockett Indian Fighter". The third one pictures guns, a coonskin cap, cabin, Alamo, etc. These are in unused condition. They may show some very slight aging along the edge. Old store stock from one of our favorite toy stores.

Vintage 6 1/4" tall Japp's 1926 Women's Wigs brochure with prices. Japp's was a high end beauty care company that specialized in wigs and hair care products. They catered to wealthy clients. These were found in the building many years ago and were made during the roaring 20s right before the Great Depression. During that time period, people had lots of money to spend, and the prices for these wigs were really high for the time period. You sent them a sample of your hair to get the color right. Several different types are pictured. All look very 1920s. Bobbed wigs were $40. That would be $513.07 in today's dollars!!!!!!!! The building is still here in downtown Cincinnati where these were found and has been converted to a bar that is all about the history of the building. They even have tours down there now. These are the only group of these brochures found.
