This catalog is dedicated to the memory of Zane Shaffer. He was a pioneer in this field who recently left us. A lot of you have likely crossed paths with him. He was, arguably, the largest dealer in our type of merchandise on the East Coast. His family sold us a large lot of his inventory with the hope that his items will find good homes with people who appreciate them. You will see a lot of them over the next year or so, and we will mark them as such. Here is a note from his family "Whether he was gettin' his road warrior on traveling to antique markets in places like Shupp's Grove or buying/selling online, he enjoyed every minute of it. He held a very special place in his heart for the people, the places, and 'the old things'. It's really good to know that his collection will reach all the folks that had the same passion about them. #ZLCA002 - Kirk Sweet Potatoes Label
Large 14" wide label for a 2 lb. can. Very nice old vintage stone lithographed label from around the 1920s. Great Indian image. Ironically, these were found in the upstairs of an antique mall in Findlay Ohio which turned out to be a storage area for the old David Kirk, Sons and Co. that was sealed off many many years ago. Beautiful and in nice unused condition.

#ZLT019 - Oceanic Plug Tobacco Wrapper
Vintage Oceanic Plug tobacco wrapper. Unused stock from the Scotten, Dillon Company, Detroit, Michigan. Circa 1910. Fantastic stone litho image of an ocean liner. This is one of the nicest images you will find in a tobacco wrapper and these are getting harder and harder to find. A large lot of old boxes and paper were found at the Scotten Dillon warehouse many years ago. We just picked up several different types from the guy who rescued them, and he let loose of some of the oldest ones that were found. They are very nice and in excellent condition. The entire label is 12" long and wrapped around a plug of tobacco. The image pictured showed up on the front and is about 4" wide.

Complete set of eight different 1966 Exhibit Supply Hobo the Bum Fortune Teller cards. These cards were vended at amusement parks and Exhibit Supply cards are highly collectible. These were in an unopened sealed brick and counted into sets. The condition is immaculate. Tells your fortune and is a bunch of craziness. Some cool graphics too.

This is a great label for framing with a rooster and oranges pictured. Beautiful colors. These will brighten up a kitchen. They are unused stock from the Klink Citrus Association in Ivanhoe, CA.

#ZLC239 - Kreme de Koke Vegetable Crate Label with Skater - Pinup Art
Vintage 9 1/2" tall circa 1940s Kreme de Koke vegetable crate label. This was risque stuff back in the 1940s with the skaters dress blowing up in the air. A real attention getter in the stores. These were found many years ago and are getting harder to come by. They are from the Salinas Growers Exchange in Salinas, California. Click on the image to see a more detailed picture of it. Very nice unused condition.

#ZZA156 - Pacific Ocean Park 1¢ Arcade Hopalong Cassidy Bill Boyd Card
This is a very rare Ocean Park Penny Arcade 4 in 1 card featuring Hopalong Cassidy (Bill Boyd who played Hopalong) with a signature on the upper left. Excellent unused condition. This is a cool card. It also has Buster Crabbe with a signature on the lower right. Ocean Park was built in Santa Monica, CA in 1958 and closed in 1967. It was a very large park that was built to compete with Disneyland. However, city planners, in an effort to renew the area, demolished buildings and closed streets all around the park so people couldn't find there way in. Even though it was a huge park, it was forced to close it's doors and the contents were auctioned off in 1968. These cards are marked "Pacific Ocean Park Arcade 1¢" on the front and have a postcard back.

#NE030 - Daring Black Guy Sitting on an Alligator Postcard - St. Augustine - As low as $1.75
Vintage 5 1/2" wide 1940s linen postcard. It pictures a black guy in a tophat sitting on an alligator with other alligators all around. Front says "Taking it easy in Florida at the St. Augustine Alligator and Ostrich Farm". Back Says "Florida Souvenir Co., St. Augustine, FL.". The St. Augustine Farm, Zoological Park, where these were found, is one of Florida's oldest tourist attractions, and has been around since 1893. It has it's own official designation as a U. S. Historical District. These are unused old stock in excellent condition.

Vintage 9 1/4" tall full color bottle hanger offer from Coca Cola. These have the "It's the Real Thing" logo dating them to around 1970. Very colorful and nice. They say "Limited offer of four 1890 glasses and a genuine pewter holder" "Buy a set for only $4.98 and get 4-32 oz. bottles of Coke FREE!" "Plus Deposit". We just bought part of a huge collection of Coke items. These were part of the lot. Vintage 6 3/4" tall Coca Cola Dry Server picturing a hand holding a carton of Coke and a lady carrying a tray with a bottle of Coke and lunch. These are paper sleeves that were dispensed from old Coke machines. The refrigeration in the old machines made the bottles sweat, so you put the bottle in one of these sleeves to keep them dry. Some people call them bottle bags, but the are really sleeves. Dated 1932. These are in exceptional condition. We just bought part of a huge collection of Coke items. These were part of the lot. The fellow that had this stuff is a friend who searched old bottling plants and hauled most of this stuff out many years ago.

Vintage 6 3/4" tall Coca Cola Dry Server with a picture of a girl with her roller skates over her left shoulder and a bottle of Coke in her right in front of a Coke cooler. Vintage 7 1/2" tall diecut cardboard Coca Cola bottle hanger from the 1976 75th Coca Cola anniversary.  Says "Free 75th Anniversary Commemorative Glass" "With Required Purchase of Coca-Cola". It also pictures one of the 75th anniversary commemorative Coke glasses that were being given away. Genuine cardboard Coca Cola bottle hangers for only 75 cents. These are a great deal. #TY290 - Roto Top Box

Vintage 6 1/2" long cardboard box. These are old factory stock that were never filled and are great for an old toy display. They were made to contain a toy with a string that you pulled and it spun three tops at one time. These were found at the Weaver Manufacturing Co. in Elizabethtown, PA and are marked as such. Cool illustrations of the top and how it worked on the box.

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 10 1/2" wide Appleton apple crate label. This is a very early (circa 1910s) version of this label. It is a spectacular stone litho picturing an art nouveau lady smelling a rose. This is just a terrific label. Unused stock from Borgovich & Dragovich in Watsonville, CA. Printer's mark is Olsen Bros. Got these from a kindred spirit who also loves looking for old store stock.

13 1/2" wide vintage label. Circa 1910s. Fantastic stone litho image of a barefoot boy with a poem about him. These were found many years ago at the New Federal Canning Co. in Frankfort, IN. These are a small group we have left that are in perfect condition. They are hare to find in this kind of shape.

Vintage 4 3/4" tall label that says "Troika Vodka" "Made from 100% Grain Neutral Spirits". These are gilded and have a wonderful image of a guy on a snow sled being pulled by horses. We bought these right, so we are passing that on. These are great labels. Unused old stock from around the 1940s that were found at Maisonette et Cie in Meadowlawn, KY.

You get 10 for $1.50 (that 's 15¢ each). Vintage cork lined Jurk soda bottle caps. Circa 1960s. Unused old stock in good condition. Found in an old bottling plant in Paducah, Kentucky a lot of years ago. You almost never see this one anymore and it has a great name and a great image on it.

#CC223 - Coca Cola 75th Anniversary Belt Buckle Bottle Opener and Iron-On Patch Carton Insert Offer
Vintage 8 1/4" tall carton insert signs that went in the front of cartons of Coke. These are really nice. They are full color and picture a patch and a very fancy pewter type Coca Cola belt buckle both marked for the 75th anniversary. You could send away and get both for only $3. The reverse tells you how to do it by sending in 12 proof of purchase crown liners with your three bucks. Says the offer expired on December 31st, 1976. These are not very common. We just bought part of a huge collection of Coke items. These were part of the lot.
