This catalog is dedicated to the memory of Zane Shaffer. He was a pioneer in this field who recently left us. A lot of you have likely crossed paths with him. He was, arguably, the largest dealer in our type of merchandise on the East Coast. His family sold us a large lot of his inventory with the hope that his items will find good homes with people who appreciate them. You will see a lot of them over the next year or so, and we will mark them as such. Here is a note from his family "Whether he was gettin' his road warrior on traveling to antique markets in places like Shupp's Grove or buying/selling online, he enjoyed every minute of it. He held a very special place in his heart for the people, the places, and 'the old things'. It's really good to know that his collection will reach all the folks that had the same passion about them. We truly hope you enjoy them as much as he did."

These are vintage 9" wide can labels that say Bert Marshall's Grapefruit Juice. Heavily embossed and gilded (gold). Beautiful image. These came from the Do Soto Canning Co. in Arcadia Florida. This is a true collector label. They are very scarce and command high prices on Ebay. ($6 - $10 each). Excellent unused condition. Circa 1920s.

Super detailed image of a farmhouse with a cart with horses and a man planting a field. Very pretty. We acquired these from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest long time dealers on the east coast. Excellent unused condition.

We got them from the estate of the famous collector, dealer, and friend Bob Secrist.

This was a Dr. Pepper knock off drink. These are old factory stock that was never used that my friend John recently found in the remote storage building where the Clem Bottling Company was in Malvern, Arkansas. Excellent condition.

Vintage 9" wide inner cigar box label. Embossed and gilded. Clint Ford was a very popular actor and appeared frequently at the Star Theatre in New York in the late 1800's. Unused stock in nice condition. Circa 1900 or earlier. They retail for $5 and up. We got a great deal on these, and so we are offering you a great price too.

Click the picture to show a larger more detailed image. Vintage large 14 1/2" wide label Says "Camel Mountain Fruits From Placer County". It is shaped like and was most likely a grape crate label. Nice image of a guy and a camel facing Mecca. There are pyramids in the picture towards the sunrise. Marked "Blue Anchor California Fruit Exchange" "Grown and Packed by Blue Anchor, Inc. Loomis, California". These are circa the 1960s and uncommon. Unused old stock in excellent condition.

Says "Pep Brand" "Nash-De Camp Company Visalia, California". Circa 1950. These came from long time dealer Lorie Cairns who recently sold us her inventory. Lorie was one of the pioneers in this business and we are very grateful to her. Excellent unused condition.

#ZLT015 - Dan Patch Cut Plug Tobacco Wrapper
Vintage Dan Patch tobacco wrapper. Unused stock from the Scotten, Dillon Company, Detroit, Michigan. Dan Patch was one of the most famous race horses in history. He was retired in 1909. These are from right around then or a little earlier. A large lot of old boxes and paper were found at the Scotten Dillon warehouse many years ago. We just picked up several different types from the guy who rescued them and they are some of the oldest ones that were found. They are very nice and in excellent condition. The entire label is 12" long and wrapped around a plug of tobacco. The image pictured showed up on the front and is about 4" wide.

#ZLT035 - Perfect Pipe Smoking Mixture Tobacco Box Label
Vintage 7 1/2" wide (click picture to see an enlarged image) Perfect Pipe Smoking Mixture label that went on a box. They are unused old factory stock that was found at the Weisert Tobacco building in St. Lous, Missouri many years ago. Excellent condition. These are from the 1940s (WWII era) when metal rationing forced the tobacco companies to use cardboard boxes.
