This catalog is dedicated to the memory of Zane Shaffer. He was a pioneer in this field who recently left us. A lot of you have likely crossed paths with him. He was, arguably, the largest dealer in our type of merchandise on the East Coast. His family sold us a large lot of his inventory with the hope that his items will find good homes with people who appreciate them. You will see a lot of them over the next year or so, and we will mark them as such. Here is a note from his family "Whether he was gettin' his road warrior on traveling to antique markets in places like Shupp's Grove or buying/selling online, he enjoyed every minute of it. He held a very special place in his heart for the people, the places, and 'the old things'. It's really good to know that his collection will reach all the folks that had the same passion about them. #PL325 - Ike and Dick (Eisenhower and Nixon) Presidential Campaign Button
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 1" diameter Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon (Ike and Dick) campaign button from the 1952 election. Has the union marks on the side. Most people don't remember that Nixon was Eisenhower's Vice President. Excellent unused condition.

#SIGN022 - Group of 12 Cigarette Machine Signs
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image.  The mix in the picture is typical, but they will vary.  All major name brands. You get 12 for $3.00 (that's 25¢ each). Vintage plastic signs that went in the front of cigarette vending machines. Found a whole box of them in an old vending place. There are a lot of different ones. Looks like most are from the 1980s. Some are older. Average size is about 2" tall. Shapes vary.

#SIGN201 - Donaldson Paper Cigar Sign
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 14 3/4" wide paper "Donaldson Cigar" sign. Says "Satisfy Yourself Smoke Donaldson Cigar". Bright red lettering. Circa 1930s. They are in very nice unused condition. They came from the family of Bob Secrist who was well known all over the country as one of the premier collectors and one of the very first dealers in New Old Stock and country store items back in the day. Excellent unused condition.

#SIGN212 - Group of 16 Large Double Discount Trading Stamp Posters

This is a group of 16 signs (4 each of 4 different - one type wouldn't fit in the picture - it's similar to the others). The largest one is 17" tall. All are store signs for Double Discount Trading Stamps. They are all folded once and in a large envelope. They are dated 1955 too. This is an incredible bargain. We bought these right, so we are going to give you a super deal. Where else can you buy 1955 store posters for 75¢ each. We acquired these from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest country store dealers on the East Coast. Shipped folded flat. Excellent unused condition.

#SIGN216 - Large Mayee Soother Display Card with 12 Pacifiers
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage large 14" tall colorful illustrated display card with 12 pacifiers. The display card is perforated so the 12 pacifiers and be detached and sold separately. Each one pictures a baby and says "Mayee Soother". They are from the 1960s, and should not be used. We found these in unopened boxes in a store up north. Excellent unused condition.

Vintage 3 3/4" tall cup with repeating Pepsi logo running all around the cup. Nice shape. Unused stock from an old bottling plant in excellent condition. From the 1960s.

#SOZ067  - Old Waxed Pepsi Cup
Vintage 3 3/4" tall waxed Pepsi cup (both sides pictured). This logo was used from the late 1960s into the 70s, so they are from that time period. Nice unused condition from an old soda plant.

#SP033 - Cloth Falstaff Beer Sticker
Vintage 3 1/2” wide cloth peel  stickers from an old Falstaff Plant. These are from the early 1970s. The "Because we're all in this together" logo is regarded as the last marketing gasp of the mighty Falstaff Brewing empire and featured TV ads with the bumbling cowboys Gabe & Walker. These are in really nice shape. They are cloth. You peel of the paper on the back of them and they will still stick to just about anything.

#TY447 - Group of 10 Tin Linked Hearts Adjustable Size Dimestore Rings
You get 10 for $1 (that's 10¢ each). These are vintage tin dimestore toy rings in extraordinary condition. They are a series of linked hearts. Two of the hearts pull apart to adjust the size. Most are silver colored. A few are gold colored here and there. These were in bags in sealed cases and are just like brand new. These are part of our recent find at our favorite toy store in Kentucky.

#TY598 - Carded Toy Magnet - Made in Japan
Vintage 2 1/2" tall metal magnet on card. Says "Magnet" "Made in Japan". The card is made of rice paper which is what they used before the mid 1950s. These are at least that old and could be pre WWII. Unsold old store stock in excellent condition.

#TY607 - Race to the Moon Pocket Game
Vintage little 1 1/8" square game board says "Moon" and "Blast Off" and has holes for the two tiny plastic rockets the players used. They are in header bags with the moon and rockets pictured on the front and directions for how to play the game on the back. We found these in near perfect condition in the remote storage area of a store in northern Ohio. They are from the late 1960s when the moon race was on. They are unsold old stock from back in the day.

#ZBOT176 - Rare Heisey Glass Label for Presentation Clock
Click the image to see a picture of a heisey presentation clock with this label in the center of it. Vintage 2 3/4" diameter paper label that went in the center of presentation clocks that Heisey Glass gave to special employees in the 1920s. They are embossed and say "Heisey's Crystal Quality Durability Style". They picture two glass blowers and the Heisey logo. These are extremely rare and the only examples known. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. Excellent unused condition.

#ZBOT205 - Edelweiss Disappearing Cream Bust Developer Label

Vintage 3 1/2" wide label pictures flowers on leaved stems, and says "Edelweiss Disappearing Cream" "Flesh Builder" "Will remove wrinkles and develop the bust". Circa 1900. These came from long time dealer Lorie Cairns who recently sold us her inventory. Lorie was one of the pioneers in this business and we are very grateful to her. Excellent unused condition.

Marked "La Bella Hair Tonic" "Curcio Co. Jersey City, N. J." Circa 1910s. Excellent unused condition. These came from long time dealer Lorie Cairns who recently sold us her inventory. #ZBOT417 - Rare Large Boyd Extracted Honey Pail Label
Click the image to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage large (as honey pail labels go) 6 1/4" wide paper label. Spectacular gilded stone litho image of bees flying around flowers. This is a rare pail label. Says "To Liquefy, put pail in warm water". Also says "Extracted Honey Extracted and packed by Ranald P. Boyd" "Charles City, Iowa". They are unused old stuck in excellent condition from the 1920s. We acquired these from a long time label dealer on the west coast that we bought out.

Vintage 3 5/8" wide Dutch Country beer bottle label. They are circa 1960 with a great image an old kitchen scene with guys drinking beer around a table and a lady pouring beer from a stein. Unused old stock from the Dutch Country Brewing Company in Reading, PA.

#ZLC134 - Avenue Brand Fruit Crate Label
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 11" wide crate label That says "Avenue Brand". This is one of the very best stone litho labels out there. The small image above doesn't come close to showing the detail in this label. It has a wonderful depth to it showing an old car headed down the avenue with palm trees on the left. The first time I saw this label was a framed one in a restaurant and I couldn't take my eyes off it. I personally like this one better than all the rest. It has become very scarce and the prices for the remaining ones keeps going up. This is a steal at $5. They were found many years ago at the Victoria Avenue Citrus Ass'n in Riverside, California and are from around the 1930s.

Vintage 13" wide Valley King Vegetables label with a large deer head pictured. Colorful and nice unused condition. From Half Moon Fruit & Produce Company in San Francisco, CA. Circa 1940s.

#ZLC245 - Very Old Jordan's Jasper Juicies Georgia Peach Crate Label
Vintage 8 1/4" wide Jordan's Jasper Juicies Georgia Peach crate label. This is an old find from years ago. People always think that they are from the 1920s or 30s, but they are much older. In 1906, the Food and Drug Act required labeling the weight and measure of products. This is from before that time. There is no measure or weight noted on it. Unused stock from E. G. Jordan in Monticello, GA. These are in excellent unused condition.

They are from the Lemon Cove Association in Lemon, Cove California and are marked as such. They are unused old stock from the 1930s or earlier and are in excellent condition.

Vintage 10 3/4" wide super colorful Miracle Brand orange crate label with a large image of a genie carrying a tray of oranges. Marked "Copyright 1928 by Bradford Bros., Inc", and from around that time period. Also pictures the genie's lamp. They are old stock that came from the Bradford Bros. in Placentia, California, and are in excellent unused condition.

(Click the picture to see the large image) Vintage 11" wide Annie Laurie orange crate label. Really beautiful Scottish themed image of Annie Laurie. These are from around the 1930s. Says "Annie Laurie Grown and Packed by Strathmore Packing House Co. Strathmore Tulare Co. California U.S.A.". We got these directly from the family that owned the business and they are in excellent unused condition.
