This catalog is dedicated to the memory of Zane Shaffer. He was a pioneer in this field who recently left us. A lot of you have likely crossed paths with him. He was, arguably, the largest dealer in our type of merchandise on the East Coast. His family sold us a large lot of his inventory with the hope that his items will find good homes with people who appreciate them. You will see a lot of them over the next year or so, and we will mark them as such. Here is a note from his family "Whether he was gettin' his road warrior on traveling to antique markets in places like Shupp's Grove or buying/selling online, he enjoyed every minute of it. He held a very special place in his heart for the people, the places, and 'the old things'. It's really good to know that his collection will reach all the folks that had the same passion about them. #ZLCA152 - Very Rare Very Early Electric Brand Succotash Can Label
Click on the image to see the incredible large image. Vintage 11 1/2" wide label.  These are unused old stock made by Olney & Floyd In Westernville, New York. They have an incredible image of a Goddess holding up a light with electricity flowing from a batter in her other hand. These are one of the oldest Olney and Floyd labels that were made. They have no weight marking which was required by law around 1906, and are from the 1890s.  This is an incredibly beautiful stone litho. It might have taken a craftsmen three or four months to make the plates to produce this label. Labels this old in this kind of condition are very hard to find and this is a beauty. Excellent unused condition.

#ZLCA244 - Rare Wayne Apple Sauce Can Label - As Low as $1 each
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 11" wide Wayne Apple Sauce can label. This is the rarest of the Wayne can labels. It has a fantastically colorful lacquered stone litho image of cut apples with General Wayne in the middle. This is a real eye catcher. Circa 1920s. Says "Wayne Apple Sauce" "Edgett-Burnham Company. Newark, New York". They are unused old factory stock in excellent shape. We got these from the estate of a dealer in Wisconsin.

This is the scarcest of the Jonesport labels and pictures a lighthouse on the rocks, a boat, and a large Herring. Circa 1920s. From R. B. and C. G. Stevens in Jonesport, Maine. #ZLS149 - General Brand Pale Dry Ginger Ale Soda Bottle Label
Vintage 4 5/8" wide General Brand soda bottle label. Colorful picture of a general on his horse. This is a very uncommon label. They came from the Silver Spring Company in Madison, Wisconsin and are marked as such. They bottled for the General Beverage Company which was also in Madison, Wisconsin. Circa 1930 or older. These are in excellent unused condition.

They picture a golfer, hunter with dog and gun, football player, and boat. These are from the Cray Soda Company in  Holyoke, Massachusetts. Unused old factory stock in excellent condition.

Says "Blossoms Carbonated Beverage" "Cherry Blossoms Mfg. St. Louis, MO." This is an uncommon label in excellent unused condition. We got them from the estate of friend and famous collector Bob Secrist.

They were used, but someone took really good care of them. There are no staples or bends. May Department Stores were around the country since 1877. They were finally bought out by Macy's in 2005.

Food Fair was a large supermarket chain in the United States that opened in the 1920s. They changed their name to Pantry Pride around 1970 and went bankrupt in 1978. Used stock certificate in great condition.

Vintage 5 1/2" wide paper ad sheet for "Glen's Barber Shop" Says "Haircuts $.75 Children Welcome $.50" then lists the hours. Says "Come in and Try 656 East New York Street Indianapolis". These are from around the 1920s and have some nice old paper patina. These came from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist.

#ZLB044 - Capitol Broom Label
Vintage 5" tall "Capitol" broom label. Colorful image of the Capitol building. Says "Capital Brand Brooms Made in U.S.A.". These wrapped around a broom handle. Broom companies had a tough time in the 1930s and 40s when vacuum cleaners were mass produced and no longer an expensive luxury item. A lot of broom companies went out of business and the labels turn up in the old buildings occasionally. Unused old stock in excellent condition. Circa 1940s. We acquired these from a long time label dealer on the west coast that we bought out. Excellent unused condition.

##MUSICBG0091  -  Pair of Rare Large Madonna Intinerary Book Labels for the 1993 The Girlie Show Tour
You will get both different colored labels for $20 (That's $10 each). Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Super rare vintage large 8 5/8" tall paper label that went on the front of the Madonna 1993 Itinerary book for the 1993 tour (September 20th to November 14th, 1993).  A very small number of spiral bound books were produced for the band and crew members on each tour that included their tour dates, venues, hotels, etc. They are super rare because very few of the books were ever made. These are some extra labels that went on the front of the books that we found at the OTTO (manufacturer) warehouse. Very unusual and rare item. Excellent unused condition.

This was a huge event that included performances by Paramore, Pitbull, Panic at the Disco, Cobra Starship, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Tyga and Kid Sister, Flo Rida, Lupe Fiasco, and We the Kings. Most are crew passes, though there may be a few others mixed in. These were made with blank backs. These are unused old stock that we found at the OTTO (manufacturer) warehouse.

Vintage 4 3/4" tall OTTO cloth backstage pass from the Harry Connick Jr. and his orchestra concert at Pine Knob in Detroit on August 8th/9th, 1992. What few people remember is his arrest later that same year when he tried to board an airliner carrying an unloaded semi-automatic pistol. He has come a long way since then, and has been a judge on American Idol in recent years. If you order more than one, you may get different colors. On July 1st 1997 rulership of Hong Kong was handed over by the British to China. A huge party was held which was more of a rave that included performances by Boy George, Grace Jones, Paul Oakenfold, and others. These are a piece of political history.
