This catalog is dedicated to the memory of Zane Shaffer. He was a pioneer in this field who recently left us. A lot of you have likely crossed paths with him. He was, arguably, the largest dealer in our type of merchandise on the East Coast. His family sold us a large lot of his inventory with the hope that his items will find good homes with people who appreciate them. You will see a lot of them over the next year or so, and we will mark them as such. Here is a note from his family "Whether he was gettin' his road warrior on traveling to antique markets in places like Shupp's Grove or buying/selling online, he enjoyed every minute of it. He held a very special place in his heart for the people, the places, and 'the old things'. It's really good to know that his collection will reach all the folks that had the same passion about them. Vintage 4 1/2" wide Kist Sparkling Kist Kola soda bottle label. Circa 1960s. Giant pair of lips. Says "Kist Beverage Company" "Thorndike, MA" "Bottled by Authority of the Monarch Company Div. of Moxie Industries, Inc.". Exellent unused condition. We got them from the estate of friend and famous dealer, Bob Secrist.

Vintage 8 1/4" wide (click picture to see an enlarged image) tobacco label that went on a box. They say "Escort" "Your Constant Companion" "Mellow and Cool Cut for Pipe and Cigarette". They are unused old factory stock that was found at the Weisert Tobacco building in St. Lous, Missouri many years ago. Excellent condition. Rare label with a suggestive name. These are from the 1940s (WWII era) when metal rationing forced the tobacco companies to use cardboard boxes.

#ZZA202 - DIsney/Pixar A Bug's Life Sticker Album
Vintage 1998 10 3/4" tall sticker album made by Panini for Disney/Pixar (has the licensing marks for all). These have some sticker cards in them too. They were a kind of starter set for the album. You had to buy the stickers to try and complete it. They are unused old store stock in excellent condition.

#ZZA218 - Complete Card Set of 24 Different Exhibit Supply Palmistry for Women Penny Arcade Cards
You get the complete set of 24 for for $8 (that's only 33¢ each). These are cards that were dispensed at arcades and amusement parks in the Exhibit Supply Palmistry for Women machines. They are marked Exhibit Supply and picture a palmistry hand. They are about 3 1/2" wide and in unused condition. Complete sets in this condition are very hard to find. There was a set for men and one for women. They tell your fortune. I am looking at one that says "Men adore and worship you; women fear and sometimes hate you......." etc. These were found in original bundles with exhibit supply packaging in storage at an old amusement park up in the northeast. Based on the packaging, I would say these are from around the 1950s

#ZZCE069 - McKesson & Robbins Incorporated Stock Certificate
(Click the image to view the full certificate) Vintage 11 1/2" wide stock certificate from  "McKesson & Robbins Incorporated". Most are dated in the 1950s, but there are a few older than that. Used stock certificate in great condition. This was one of the pioneering companies in the health care industry in this country. They have been in business since 1833 selling medicine. Now they are known simply as McKesson.

#ZZCE080 - West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company Stock Certificate
Click the picture to see a large more detailed image. Vintage 12" wide stock certificate from the "West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company". They are now known as Westvaco. This is a large and very old company that dates back to before the turn of the century. These are dated around 1968. Used stock certificate in great condition.

#ZZZ068 - Schneller's Eye Salve and Eye Water Literature
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 12 for $1.80 (that's 15¢ each). 10 3/4" wide brochure telling about Schneller's Eye Salve and Eye Water products. They were never folded. You can fold them up if you like. This was literature that was put in product boxes and is old stock that was never used from the 1920s or earlier. Nice image of the Schneller Sanitary Bottle and Dropper. Talks about how safe and effective these products were. One of the ingredients listed in the Eye Salve was Mercury which is very toxic, but......  every bottle was guaranteed. Writing on both sides. Excellent unused condition.

#ZZZ086 - Early and Very Rare Eisemann Barber Supply Letterhead
Vintage 8 1/2" wide unused letterhead. Fantastic image of the old barber chair. Every barbershop collector needs one of these. Click the picture to see a larger version of the old barber chair. They were found with some Eisemann labels which you will find elsewhere in this catalog that all date from around 1900 - 1910. These are about the same age. As you would expect,the paper shows some minor paper aging. Phil Eisemann was one of the premier barber suppliers in the country in the early 1900s. Eisemann signs and bottles are high dollar items for the collector. This letterhead is extremely rare. We bought the lot from a collector who had bought them with a bunch of high end Eisemann's signs.

#ZZZ112 - 1916 Dr. J. B. Lynas & Son Fine Flavorings and Medicines Check
Click the picture to see a detailed image. Vintage 8 1/4" wide check says "Dr. J. B. Lynas & Son Manufacturers of Fine Flavorings and Medicines". These are from the famous Lynas Medicine Co. in Logansport, Indiana. A lot of labels and bottles and other things were found there many years ago, but these checks are pretty scarce. These are used checks in nice condition.
