These are beautiful vintage Dr. Lynas Hair Pomade They are 2" tall and went on a small jar. Circa 1900. Labels are from Logansport, IN and marked as such. These are uncommon and very pretty.

Click the picture to see the entire label. Vintage small 9 1/2" wide "Forkola Jell" paper jar label. Pictures "Old Doc Forkola". Says "Family Size Barcorn's Vaporizing Forkola Jell" "Used Winter and Summer" "It's Pure as Butter" "The Bacorn Co. Elmira, New York". Shows Doc  Forkola says "A friend in need". Tells detailed directions and propaganda about the product. Circa 1930. A friend of ours acquired these recently and was kind enough to share. We really like them. They are colorful and would look great on an old jar. Excellent condition unused old factory stock.

#ZBOT197 - Large GoodTest Brand Ammonia Bottle Label
Click the image to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 5 1/4" tall paper label. Gilded stone litho. Circa 1920.  Marked "GoodTest Brand Ammonia" "A powerful Cleanser" "Manufactured for Union Liberty Co. S. Lipowicz Branch, N.Y." They are bright and colorful and would look great on an old bottle. The company got in financial trouble and went out of business around 1922. These are old stock that was found in the building. We acquired these from a long time label dealer on the west coast that we bought out. Excellent unused condition.

#ZBOT134 - Dr. Blumer's Laxal Remedy Label - The Baby's Friend
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 4" tall "Dr. Blumer's Laxal" label. Says "Laxal The Baby's Friend". These are from around 1900 when a lot of babies died from opium/morphine addiction caused by teething and quieting medications. The Pure Food and Drug Act had not been passed yet, but because of public outcry other medicines were brought out as a substitute.  This is one of those. It doesn't list what was actually in it (as was required by the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906), but claims it was Non-Alcoholic and contained "no Opium, Morphine or other habit producing drugs".  Says it was "A common sense remedy for Baby's complaints". Makes me wonder what they did put in it. Found at the factory many years ago.

#ZBOT402 - Group of 4 different Diamond Ink Bottle Labels
You get four vintage 1 1/2" to 5" wide ink bottle labels. These are very handy. They will fit many sizes of standard cork top ink bottles and they look great on them. They all came out of the Diamond Ink warehouse in Milwaukee. This is an old group from around the 1910/20s. Nice unused condition.

#ZBOT416 - Dr. Lynas Queen Beauty Toilet Soap Bar Wrapper Label - Type 3 (Lady in Purple Dress) - As low as 75¢
Click the image to see the entire wrapper. Vintage 7" wide paper wrapper/label that went on a bar of soap. Beautiful embossed and gilded label pictures a victorian lady in purple with a fancy hat. They are marked "Guaranteed by Dr. J. G. Lynas and Son under the Food and Drug Act  June 30th, 1906. They are circa 1910 and in excellent unused condition. They can still be wrapped around a bar of soap and used in a country store display.

#ZBOT131 - Blumer's World Champion Salve Label for a Milk Glass Jar
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 7" wide "Dr. Blumer's Worlds Champion Salve" label. Nice old image of Dr. Blumer on one side and the "Wise Old Owl" on the other. Says it "beats all for healing" "sores, cuts, burns  chapped hands, pimples, abcesses, ulcers". They are from around 1900 and went on a milk glass jar. Stick one of these on an old milk glass jar and watch it sell. Excellent unused condition. Found at the factory many years ago.

#ZBOT146 - New England Vermont Maple Sap Syrup Label
Vintage 3 3/8" tall New England Vermont Syrup label that went on a 1 quart tin. These are circa 1910s and have a really pretty image of a New England farmhouse with cows and a horse drawn wagon. They are marked "New England Maple Syrup Co. Boston, Mass.", and are very uncommon. They all have some curling or minor rippling, but will flatten out well on a bottle or tin. These came from the estate of famed dealer and friend Bob Secrist.

Vintage 2" tall Dr. Lynas "Creme Gloria" bottle label. Says "Creme Gloria a Greaseless Vanishing Cream for the Skin" "Dr. J. B. Lynas & Son Logansport, Indiana". These are beautiful heavily gilded early stone lithos. Circa 1900 and super colorful. These have the look. Put them on a milk glass jare and watch them sell. Unused stock from the old Lynas warehouse in Logansport, IN. This is one of the scarcer Lynas labels. We got them from the estate friend and famous collector Bob Secrist.

Vintage 4 3/4" wide colorful label picturing Queen Isabella. These are in excellent condition, dated 1924, and from around that time period. Recipes on each side of the label for English Wassel and Old Fashioned Doughnuts. These are unused stock that was found in the Utt Juice Company warehouse in Justin, CA. They look great on an old bottle.

This was the kind of imagery used during WWII when these were made. They are from Chicago, IL and marked as such, and are in excellent unused condition.

#ZBOT148 - Very Fancy Early Eisemann's Fairy Cream Label with Neck Label - As low as 50¢ each
Vintage heavily embossed and gilded 3 1/2" wide Fairy Cream label with neck label. These are fantastic (click the picture to see a larger image with all the details). They say "Eisemann's Fairy Cream" "No Ladies Toilet is without it" "A Delightful and beneficial Cream for Gentlemen to use after shaving" "Guaranteed.... Food and Drugs Act June 30th, 1906" etc. These are circa 1910. Phil Eisemann was one of the premier barbershop suppliers in the early part of the century and his items are widely collected. Excellent unused condition.

#ZBOT167 - Carnation Toilet Water Barber Bottle Label - As low as 50¢ each
Vintage large 4 3/8" tall Carnation Toilet Water Barber bottle label. This is the most striking of the Eisemann labels. The embossing is very deep and the colors vibrant. Click the picture to see a larger picture of these spectacular stone litho labels. They are deeply embossed and say "Carnation Toilet Water" "Prepared by Phil Eisemann Lancaster, PA". These were found many years ago in Eisemann storage. Eisemann was one of the premier barber preparation suppliers in the early 1900s.  These are circa 1910 and in excellent unused condition. They look fantastic on an old bottle.

#ZBOT165 - Alfred Jones' Sons Celebrated Finan Haddie Jar Label - Bangor, Maine - As low as 25¢ each
Vintage 3" diameter fish jar label. They picture a lighthouse and boats on the ocean in detail and a big piece of fish that says "Jones' Celebrated Finnan Haddie" on it. Marked "Alfred Jones' Sons Bangor, Maine". These are a steal at this price. They went on a jar of fish with a metal lid. They say "To open Puncture Cap and push up at the edge". These are unused factory stock in excellent condition.

Very unusual because it is dated 1939 (long after the pure food and drug act), but sounds like something much older. Say it was for Biliousness, Heartburn, and Flatulence and contained "Oleum Methae, Oleum Eucalyti, Olive Oil", etc. Even says "Beware of Imitations". Unused old stock from the Joseph Muller Manufacturer in New Orleans, LA.
