Vintage 8 3/4" wide Maryland Chief Cut Green Bean can label. Nice Indian Chief image. Circa 1940s. Great shape. Colors are vibrant. They turned up at the J. Langrall & Bro in Baltimore, MD. and are marked as such. Went on a 10 oz. can.

Vintage 11 1/8" wide Uncle Remus Brand Cane and Corn Syrup can label. These are from the Robinson Syrup Company that was in Cairo, Georgia and are marked as such. They are from around the 1920s and have a 1924 copyright date on them. Says "Uncle Remus Brand" "Dis sho'am good" and pictures a colorful Uncle Remus. Went on a 1 lb 2 oz can. They are in excellent unused condition.

#ZLCA902 - Huge Southern Plantation Syrup Pail Label
Vintage 16" wide Southern Plantation Syrup label with images of black folks working in the fields and cooking on a pot by a cabin. Says "A bit of Dixie" and "Ye Little Log Cabin". Old embossed and gilded stone litho with bright beautiful colors. This label wrapped around a can about the size of a paint can with a handle. This is a very rare and scarce label that you almost never see any more. These are in excellent unused condition and may be the last of the stash that was found many years ago at the Roddenbery Packers in Cairo, GA. Marked 4 lbs 8 oz. Circa 1920s.

Vintage 16 1/2" wide Cross Roads Syrup label with images of a blacksmith working and an old log cabin. This is a scarce label that you almost never see any more. Vintage large 13" wide Glendora Brand Pumpkin can label. Click the image to see a bigger picture of this label. These are heavily embossed and gilded. They are nice stone lithos from around the 1930s picturing a pumpkin and a plate with a big slice of pumpkin pie. Really nice unused condition. They are marked "Glendora Products Company Warren, PA". We got these from the estate of Bob Secrist who was a friend and one of the premier label dealers of all time.

Vintage 11" wide Idyl Extra Sifted Early June Peas can label. Beautiful label with incredible colors. Pictures a bowl of peas and to the right of the label is a muse with a horn. Gilded stone litho. Printer's mark has a 1932 date. Unused stock from H. Schmidt's Sons distributors right across the river from here in Covington, KY.

Rowley warehouse in Fabius, NY many years ago. These are incredibly detailed with a wonderful Indian chief pictured.

We acquired these from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest long time dealers on the east coast. Excellent unused condition.

Vintage rare 12 3/4" wide Mt. Hamilton Asparagus can label. Click the image to see the full image of the label (it's an amazing label). Early stone litho. Circa 1910 or earlier. Pictures the Mt. Hamilton Observatory in Santa Clara County, California. This is a scarce and desirable label. Good framer. Has the look. These are unused old stock in great condition. They are a little curled, but straighten right out when framed. We got these from the estate of the famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist.

Vintage colorful large 13" wide Velvet Rose stone litho pumpkin label from the 1930s. These went on a large 1lb 13 oz can and look very Halloweeny (is that a word?). #ZLCA142 - Very Rare and Very early Electric Brand Golden Pumpkin Can Label
Click on the image to see the incredible large image. Vintage 11 1/2" wide Olney & Floyd Electric Brand Golden Pumpkin label. These go back to the late 1800s and are one of the most beautiful labels ever made. They picture a Goddess holding an electric bulb in one hand and a battery in the other. There are also two angel babies talking to each other on very early telephones. These date back to when electricity was considered magic, and it was a topic of conversation everywhere. The pumpkin itself that is in the picture is all gilding. There is no weight marking on it, which was required by law by around 1906. Labels this old are very very rare, and pumpkins are even hard to find. This would make an incredible piece framed for Halloween. Excellent unused condition.

#ZLCA143 - Very Rare and Very early Butterfly Brand Pumpkin Can Label
Click on the image to see the incredible large image. Vintage 11 1/2" wide Olney & Floyd Butterfly Brand Golden Pumpkin label. These go back to the late 1800s and are considered by most "experts" to be the nicest looking pumpkin label ever made. They picture a a giant pumpkin on one side with vines and fancy decoration and a very large butterfly on the other. This was a complicated label to make as it is stone litho in many colors. There is no weight marking on it, which was required by law by around 1906. Labels this old are very very rare, and pumpkins are even harder to find. This would make an incredible piece framed for Halloween. Excellent unused condition.

#ZLCA204 - Rare Galt House Sincerity Coffee Can Label
Vintage 14" wide Galt House Blend Coffee can label. Went on a 1lb can. This stone litho label has a lot of detail. It pictures the factory with a streetcar and other vehicles of the time, on the one side. It has a girl with a large dog on the other. Click the image to see a larger picture of the complete label. Marked "Galt House Blend HIghest Grade of the Celebrated Sincerity Coffees" etc. etc. Also says "Norton & Curd Co. Louisville, KY." and "Registered 1908". The company was forced out of business in 1921 when it was discovered that they were not using the types of beans they advertised. These are from around the 1910s, and are in excellent unused condition. We got these from a friend who recently found them in Louisville.

#ZLCA240 - Rare Flint River Tomatoes Can Label from the WWI era - Pictures a De Havilland Biplane

Vintage 11 3/8" wide colorful stone litho image of a De Havilland DH-4 biplane which was made in Great Britain and the United States for a short time during WWI. These labels are from that era (1914 - 1918), and are unused old factory stock that was abandoned at the Hollonville Canning CO. in Williamson, GA. They are rare and in excellent condition.

Says "Royal Chef Steamed Puget Sound Clams in Shell" "Guilford Packing Co., Port Townsend Washington". Pictures the chef with his arms outstretched over a bowl of clams. We acquired these from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest long time dealers on the east coast. Excellent unused condition.

#ZLCA906 - Super Rare Very Large E. B. Millar &  Co. Curacoa Coffee Can Label
Click on the image to a detailed image of the entire label. This is without a doubt the most beautiful label we have ever had. No picture can do them justice. They are super rare 18 1/4" wide labels that went on a coffee can. There is no pound or measurement mark meaning they were made before 1910. Our best guess is right around 1900. The images are spectacular. Has writing all over it. "Millar's Celebrated Curacoa Pure Clean Wholesome Coffee" "The Aromatic Morning Cup". It has guarantees and preparation directions on it too. These are unused old stock from the plant that was on Michigan Ave. in Chicago. All have some aging, but very minor for their age. It might be a round corner or a small edge tear or some very slight staining, but all minor stuff. These would be incredible framed in a kitchen. We got them from the estate of friend and dealer Bob Secrist.

#ZLCA099 - Giant Cigar Can Label
Vintage 7 1/4" wide gilded stone litho can label for the "Giant Cigar". These went of a tin can full of cigars. They are old stock that came from the factory at 13 Wangman St. in Rochester, NY. They have a 1930 copyright date on them and are like from the 1930s or 40s at the latest. Neat image of a period gentleman smoking a giant cigar. They look great on an old can.

Very colorful 1930s label. Marked "Alaska Packers Association San Francisco, California". Unused old stock in excellent condition. These came from a large Washington State label dealer that we recently bought out.
