#TZCards233 - 16 Card Set of Exhibit Supply Hair Color Fortune Teller Cards

You get 16 for for $3.00 (that's around 18¢ each). Vintage 3 3/8" wide cards that were dispensed at penny arcades and amusement parks from Exhibit Supply hair color fortune machines. They say the hair color like "Yellow Hair - Men" (there are 16 variations) and your fortune. These were first made in the 1920s, but were in continual production till about 1960 when there weren't enough machines left to make them anymore. These are likely from the 1950s. They used the same plates to produce these for 30 years, so some of these later cards have some small smears and faint lettering even though they are in unused perfect condition. They were found in original bundles with exhibit supply packaging in storage at an old amusement park up in the northeast.

#CH326-12 - Early William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy) Doomed Caravan Poster/Broadside

Vintage 13" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1941 movie "Doomed Caravan" starring William Boyd who is better known as Hopalong Cassidy. This was one of his earlier movies. Please click the picture to see a more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.

Marked "Copyright 1984 Iron Maiden Holdings" on the reverse. They are unused, but do show some very minor edge wear and light aging on the reverse. The one pictured is typical. These are very scarce.

#TY671 - Very Large 1930s Jog-O Climbing Monkey Toy on Display Card

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image (not all of the items fits on the scanner). Vintage 18 1/2" tall painted wooden stick has a mechanical tin litho monkey on it. It is on a display card that says "Jog-O" "Jiggle the Stick and see him climb! Stop and watch him shimmy down" "Hours of fun and laughs" "Tot-Tested Toy Harborside Terminal Unit No. 2 Jersey City, N. J." and more. These were found by our friend Dave many years ago. He sold us a few we had in the catalog probably 25 years ago. Here are the rest of them. You will never see any nicer. He kept the best ones. These are those. The way this happened was that the company went out of business in the 1930s and didn't have enough money to pay their employees. One of their younger employees demanded his pay in toys and kept them for many many years till he sold them to Dave. These are really nice. American made tin toys in great condition like this are getting harder and harder to find.
