##MUSICBP1150 - Super Rare Sturgis Festival OTTO Laminated All Access Backstage Pass from 1991 - Steppenwolf, Doobie Brothers - Glows Under Blacklight
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image of both sides of the pass. Vintage large 5 1/2" tall OTTO laminated All Access backstage pass from the Sturgis Motorcycle/Concert Festival in 1991. Sturgis is the largest motorcyle festival in the world, and also one of the largest music festivals. These are the only Sturgis music passes we have ever seen, and we suspect they might go for crazy prices on Ebay. They glow in the dark under a blacklight. The pass is a DayGlo pink color and pictures a guitar with a buffalo head on the end.  It says "Buffalo Chip" and "Best Party in America" "Sturgis Bike Rally 1991" on it. August 7th must have been a wild concert. Can you imagine when Steppenwolf took the stage on August 7th, and played the motorcycle Rally cry "Born to be Wild"? On other days, players were The Doobie Brothers, Rick Derringer, Kentucky Headhunters, and Charlie Daniels.  These are in excellent unused condition.

#Cards076 - Rare Set of 32 Exhibit Supply 4 Part Cowboy Card Vending Display Sheets
#Cards076 - Rare Set of 32 Exhibit Supply 4 Part Cowboy Card Vending Display Sheets
Vintage 1950s glossy paper sheets that went in the front of Exhibit Supply Movie Star Vending machines. Each one pictures 4 cowboys just like the cards. Six sheets went in the front of a machine and they are nearly impossible to find. The sheets are identical to the cards that were vended. We found a small group of unused sets with pictures of all 32 different cards. They are in unused excellent condition, but are not high quality. Some have lines on the top 1/4". It didn't matter because the edges were hidden behind the display. Here's the amazing part. Hold onto your hats. Of the 32 sheets, there are 3 with Roy Rogers, 3 with the Lone Ranger, 2 with Gene Autry, 3 with John Wayne, 2 with William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy), and many other famous cowboys such as Ken Maynard, Tex Ritter, and some actors you may not remember as cowboys such as Gregory Peck and Danny Thomas. These are something. The complete card set goes for pretty good money ($100 is not unusual), so these should be pretty good. Sheets are 5 1/2" tall. The cards used to sell for 2¢ each!

##MUSICGD2027 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Skull with Snake and Lightning Bolts
##MUSICGD2027 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Skull with Snake and Lightning Bolts
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 6" tall Grateful Dead sticker/decal. This is a fierce looking one with a skull with a snake head and lightning bolts coming out. Circa 1992. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.
