#BF240 - Rare Knickerbocker Beer Cork Lined Bottle Cap - Used condition

This is a very storied company, and the caps are rare in any condition. These are used as shown in the picture. Marked "Knickerbocker Jacob Rupert, New York, N.Y." Great image of a Benjamin Franklin looking character. The side is marked "Pennsylvania Malt Beverage Tax Paid" "One Pint or Less". Jacob Rupert (General Manager of the Brewery with his name on the cap) was a very famous person. He is best known for owning the New York Highlanders baseball team which he purchased, changed the name to the New York Yankees, and owned from 1915 - 1939. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2013. He also served four terms in the United States House of Representatives. The Pennsylvania malt tax plus the Jacob Rupert name dates them to the mid to late 1930s.
