(Click the picture to see the large image) Vintage 11" wide Annie Laurie orange crate label. Really beautiful Scottish themed image of Annie Laurie. These are from around the 1930s. Says "Annie Laurie Grown and Packed by Strathmore Packing House Co. Strathmore Tulare Co. California U.S.A.". We got these directly from the family that owned the business and they are in excellent unused condition.

Vintage 11" wide Idyl Extra Sifted Early June Peas can label. Beautiful label with incredible colors. Pictures a bowl of peas and to the right of the label is a muse with a horn. Gilded stone litho. Printer's mark has a 1932 date. Unused stock from H. Schmidt's Sons distributors right across the river from here in Covington, KY.

Rowley warehouse in Fabius, NY many years ago. These are incredibly detailed with a wonderful Indian chief pictured.

#BEADS0485 - 18mm Pre War Germany White Glass Cabochon with Goldstone Stripes - As low as 25¢ ea
Vintage oblong 18mm (.7") long glass cabochon. These are pointy backed and pure white with three goldstone stripes. The package was marked "Germany" and are very old, dating them before WWII. So they are from the 1930s or older. They are very beautiful and in never seen the light of day condition.
 
This is from our latest treasure hunt! From a warehouse of cabachons and beads! All were in original packaging. All are 50 - 90 years old.

These are from around the 1930s and say "Wheat-Grits Sterilized Kiln Dried" "Voight Milling Co. Grand Rapids, Michigan" "Always use Voigt's Crescent Brands of Flour". Old factory stock in excellent unused condition.

#DC197 - Wm. A. Gerbering Valley Springs Milk Bottle Cap - Tuberculosis Related
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 42mm diameter cap from around 1930 from the Wm A. Gerbering Dairy in Valley Springs, California. Nice colorful deco look. Rare cap. They are marked "From Non-reacting Cows" which was to insure people they had been tuberculosis tested. This was a widespread concern in the 1920s and 30s when it was realized that the disease was, in part, being spread by cows. These came from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist, who had one of the best milk bottle cap collections in the country. Excellent unused condition, but does show staple rust as you can see in the picture.

#TY698 - The Rapid Draughtsman Child's Drawing Toy - 1930 movie stars
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 4 7/8" tall package contains what looks like three blank sheets. When you lightly rub a pencil over them a movie star appears. I did one for the picture that turned out to be Buster Keaton as you can see, but there is no telling what others are in there. They are all different. The package pictures a child drawing on the front and says "The Rapid Draughtsman" "A very pleasant amusement for children" "Germany". The back tells instructions. they are circa 1930. We recently discovered them in the warehouse of an old store up in northern Ohio.  Unused old stock in excellent condition.

Pictures an Indian on top of a rocky hill and a Sunkist Orange, and says "Rocky Hill Brand Sunkist" "Rocky Hill Corporation Exeter, California". Circa 1930s. The tops of these have a cut off looking top where they slid beneath the crate handle at the top. This is the way they were made. They came from long time dealer Lorie Cairns who recently sold us her inventory. Lorie was one of the pioneers in this business and we are very grateful to her. Excellent unused condition.

Says "Royal Chef Steamed Puget Sound Clams in Shell" "Guilford Packing Co., Port Townsend Washington". Pictures the chef with his arms outstretched over a bowl of clams. We acquired these from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest long time dealers on the east coast. Excellent unused condition.

These were made in the 1930s. Lithium was widely used at the time with all sorts of medical claims. Says "For Hospital or Home Use" "Dispels Hangover" "Take the ouch out of grouch". Excellent unused condition. We acquired these from a long time label dealer on the west coast that we bought out.

Front says "SHU-MILK Brown Shoe Polish" and has a great image of a 1930s men's shoe on it. Reverse says "Shu-Milk Products Corp. Passaic, N.J." These are circa 1930s. We acquired them from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest country store dealers on the East Coast. Excellent unused condition.

#DA071 - Vic and Kai Ice Cream Pail - Nice Graphics
Vintage 4 1/2" tall when folded up Vic and Kai one pint cardboard ice cream pail. This is the oldest of the Vic and Kai containers that turned up at the plant many years ago. It has nice graphics of snow capped mountains, an old time sailing ship, and a 1932 copyright date (they are from right around that time). Click the image to see the larger picture and great graphics. They are marked "The Peel-Pail" "Vic and Kai 665 Oliver St. No. Tonawanda, N.Y." The reverse looks the same, and the side says "We Prepare Sundaes, Banana Splits and Milk Shakes to take home". They came from the estate of friend and famous collector, Bob Secrist and are in excellent unused condition.

#DC229 - The Larry Johnson Collection - Group of 65 Different Milk/Dairy Bottle Caps
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 65 all different for $8.00 (that's about 12¢ each). Vintage milk caps of varying size and types. Most are from the 1920s-1960s, and all came from the collection of Larry. The ones in the picture are typical. Many are uncommon. Almost all sets are similar or the same as the one pictured. However, these are completely different from ones we have offered before. Condition is near perfect on most, but there will be a few that have a rust mark or imperfection. They came from the estate of the late Larry "The Bottleman" Johnson, who was a friend. Larry was a picker his whole life, and he will be missed by the antique community.

Vintage 7 1/4" wide gilded stone litho can label for the "Giant Cigar". These went of a tin can full of cigars. They are old stock that came from the factory at 13 Wangman St. in Rochester, NY. They have a 1930 copyright date on them and are like from the 1930s or 40s at the latest. Neat image of a period gentleman smoking a giant cigar. They look great on an old can.

#CH185  - Full Pack of 1932 Screen Star Stamps Series 3
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 5 1/4" tall glassine packet containing 18 movie star stamps. This one is marked series three and has cowboy Tom Keene, Irene Dunn, and many silent film era stars. They are in perfect unused condition and dated 1932. The stamps are a little brittle like all stamps this old, so I wouldn't take them out of the package unless you remove them very gently.

They have a lot of fancy gilding and say "Guaranteed to Conform with All Pure Food and Drug Laws". Side says "Stickney and Poor Spice Co. America's Oldest Spice Millers". Advertising for their others spices on the sides. These are in spectacular excellent unused condition. They are likely from around 1930 or earlier. We acquired them from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest country store dealers on the East Coast.
