#ZLW171 - Smetje's Dutch Liquor Label - WIndmill

This is a large 6" tall vintage label with a great stone litho image of a Dutch guy with wooden shoes and a windmill in the background raising a glass. Marked "Smetje's Oude Klare" "Vieux Systeme" "Spiritueux Maison Desmet-Maertens". Circa 1930s. Excellent condition.

#ZZZ071 - Fancy 1932 The Sheriff of Roane County Check
Vintage 8" wide 1932 check (some are 1931). Fancy check with a picture of an old time Sheriff on it. These are used checks from Spencer, West Virginia. They say "The Sheriff of Roane County" "After deducting therefrom the amount of all state, county and other taxes and levies in his hands for collection against the said payee. Payable out of General County Fund." These aren't very common and they are really nice looking checks.

Made of textured paper in very distinctive colors. Pictures a hand holding four aces and says "High Hand Loomis Fruit Growers Assn." Also pictures cherries on a branch. These are circa 1930 or possibly older. Unused old stock that was found in storage at the grower. Very uncommon. Excellent condition.

Pictures three oranges on leafy branches and says "Orange Blossom Product of United States of America" These are circa 1930s. Unused old stock that was found in storage at the grower. Very uncommon. Excellent condition.

#BEADS0255 - High Quality Single Propeller Airplane Intaglio
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 1 3/8" wide intaglio. These are very high quality with silver reverse painted details in incised glass. The edges have very fancy bevels. Very detailed picture of a single propeller airplane. These are German glass from the 1930s or earlier. The boxes they were in were marked West Germany from when they were repackaged and sold after WWII. The glass is crystal clear on these. Any color you see in the scan is from a reflection. Intaglios were a type of art glass that involved incising glass to create pictures. The incised area is then reverse painted.!

#DC189 - Gribler Dairy Orange Drink Milk Bottle Cap

These came from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist, who had one of the best milk bottle cap collections in the country. Excellent unused condition.

#TOP021 - Master Carton for Insert Tobacco Tins
Vintage 9" tall unused cardboard master carton. Pictures Insert Tobacco tins on the sides and says they were made to contain one dozen of the 5¢ size. Marked "John Weisert Tobacco Co. St. Louis, MO". Empty and folded flat. They have perforations so the box could be split into two counter displays, Somehow the contents of this defunct factory ended up at an auction house in Felicity, Ohio a number of years ago. We bought most of it, but it ended up burning in our warehouse fire a few years ago. We still had a small stack of these sitting around the house.

We acquired these from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest long time dealers on the east coast. Excellent unused condition.

#ZZCE049 - West Shore Railroad Company Stock/Bond Certificate
(Click the image to view the full certificate) Vintage 13 3/4" wide stock/Bond certificate from the West Shore Railroad Company. All are from the 1930/40s and have signatures, but look much older. Really nice graphics. This railroad was organized by J.P. Morgan in 1885, and were bought by New York Central in the early 1950s, but still ran under the West Shore Name until around the mid 1960s. These have some typical folds, etc. They came from the estate of friend and famous dealer Bob Secrist.

T.B. was tuberculosis, of course. Nice windmill image. Old phone number 78-12. Circa 1930s. They came from the estate of the late Larry "The Bottleman" Johnson, who was a friend. Larry was a picker his whole life, and he will be missed by the antique community.

W. Cook Company Evansville, IND." Gilded. This is an oldy. These are from the 1930s, or perhaps older. They came from long time dealer Lorie Cairns who recently sold us her inventory. Lorie was one of the pioneers in this business and we are very grateful to her. Excellent unused condition.
