#BEADSC0247 - Copper Plated Wheelbarrow Charm with Charm Loop
Vintage 1 1/8" wide copper coated wheelbarrow charm. The handle has a charm loop on it. These are old store stock from the late 1940s in unused condition. Steel charms with copper plating were mostly made right after WWII when the price of these metals was very cheap. The price escalated rapidly between 1946 and 1950 and almost all of the charm makers went over to plastic. These are U.S. made.

We picked these up on our recent trip. We returned with over 100 catalog items! We found two separate warehouses loaded with beads, cameos, cabochons, charms, and other stuff that went as far back as the early 1900s.

This is also called the Coca Cola Button Logo. These are paper sleeves that were dispensed from old Coke machines. The refrigeration in the old machines made the bottles sweat, so you put the bottle in one of these sleeves to keep them dry. Some people call them bottle bags, but the are really sleeves. This is the very last type of sleeve that Coca Cola made and are not real common. They were made in the 1940s.  By the 40s, the machines were updated so that the bottles didn't get wet when the weather was hot anymore.  These are in exceptional condition. These are from a huge collection of Coke items a friend had who searched old bottling plants and hauled this stuff out many years ago.

#CH326-01 - Roy Rogers "Don't Fence Me In" Movie Poster Broadside
Vintage 13" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the Roy Rogers 1945 "Don't Fence Me In" movie. The movie also featured Gabby Hayes and Dale Evans who are pictured along with Roy. Please click the picture to see a more detailed image. The song was number one on the charts and put Roy Rogers on the map. These are nice. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.

#CH326-34 - Hopalong Cassidy Stick to Your Guns Movie Poster
I certainly didn't expect this. I found these buried in the stack of paper movie posters we had that came out of an old theatre. Vintage 1941 movie posters that say "William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy" "Stick To Your Guns". They are 12 3/4" tall. Please note that these are old originals (like all of our merchandise). I've never seen these before anywhere and I doubt too many Hopalong Cassidy collectors will have one. Our price seems way too low to me, but what the heck.
