Nice stone litho from around the 1920s. perhaps a little earlier. The picture shows peas.  All left are the same label in tomatoes. #ZLSC045 - Group of 6 Rudolph Valentino Cigar Bands
You get 6 for $3 (that's 50¢ each). Embossed and gilded cigar band labels say "Rudolph Valentino Quality Cigar”. From the mid 1920’s when Rudolph Valentino was considered the ultimate screen lover. He was idolized by the female fans of the 1920's like Elvis was in the 1950’s. He died an untimely death in 1926 at only 31 years of age (from a perforated ulcer), which probably explains why these cigar band labels were never used. These have become very difficult to find.

#CH314 - Television Network Press Releases and Star Biographies
Price is $2.50 each. Here's something very unusual.  We bought a collection of TV memorabilia from a fellow that contained a lot of Television Network Press Releases and Star Biographies  These are all studio and file copies.  Some have notes written on them. There are many different and I didn't see any duplicates.  The ones in the picture are a Jonathan Winters biography with the NBC logo telling about him in 1964. Another is a bio about Dan Rowan and Dick Martin from NBC in 1968.  The third is from Warner Brothers and is a Patty Duke bio from 1973.  They are typical, although there are a few actors in there I've never heard of, but not many.  It's potluck.  No special requests.  They are mostly from the 1960s and 70s, but I did see a few from the 1950s and early 80s. Some of these have to be worth some serious money.  I saw one in there from Rod Serling and the Twilight Zone.  You will get a totally random selection with no duplicates, so that it is fair for everyone.  These were kept in files and so are in great shape, but some have writing on them where network executives were making notes.  This is a very unusual find.

#CH326-29 - Gene Autry Mule Train Movie Poster/Broadside
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 13" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1950 movie "Mule Train" starring Gene Autry and "Champion World's Wonder Horse". This was a popular movie back in the day. Please click the picture to see a more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.
