##MUSICBP0881 - Lifers OTTO Cloth Backstage Pass - Rahway Prison

Vintage 4 3/4" tall OTTO cloth backstage pass. Says "Lifers Group World Tour Rahway Prison, That's It". The Lifers Group was formed when Maxwell Melvins (Considered the pioneer of Prison Music) was transferred to Rahway Prison in 1987. He proposed music as a means of outreach and funding for juveniles in the prison system. Of all things, Melvins contacted Disney about the idea. They ended up getting hooked up with Disney's rap subsidiary Hollywood Basic. They produced an EP called Lifers Group World Tour: Rahway Prison, That's It" which was nominated for a grammy in 1992. So, these would from around 1991/92. Melvins served his time and has spent the last ten years since his release writing poetry and gets involved in educational events. Excellent unused condition.
