In 1950, Sports Winter Review printed a story about Marvin "Atomic" Mercer who was a wrestler who claimed to be able to beat any boxer. He held several titles including "Mr. Physical Culture" and was dubbed the "Atomic Wonder" by Ripley's believe it or not. His manager reprinted the articles in the early 1950s to promote him. These are the reprints that he made and they are fairly well known to collectors. They came from his estate a number of years ago. Nice unused condition.

Neat! Remember  when people used to put all sorts of bobbing/waving things on their back car dashboard? This is one of those.  It consists of a 4” diameter flat hard plastic baseball that says “Cincinnati” attached to a metal stem which is attached to a suction cup.  Comes in a cellophane header bag that says “Sports Waving Ball Car Decoration”.  The suction cups don’t work real well any more, but I doubt anyone would want to take them out of the packs anyway. Found these in unopened cases in the back of Brown’s Novelty in downtown Cincinnati. The store owner had them since the 1960’s.

Vintage Dan Patch tobacco wrapper. Unused stock from the Scotten, Dillon Company, Detroit, Michigan. Dan Patch was one of the most famous race horses in history. He was retired in 1909. These are from right around then or a little earlier. A large lot of old boxes and paper were found at the Scotten Dillon warehouse many years ago. We just picked up several different types from the guy who rescued them and they are some of the oldest ones that were found. They are very nice and in excellent condition. The entire label is 12" long and wrapped around a plug of tobacco. The image pictured showed up on the front and is about 4" wide.

Vintage 3 3/8" diameter licensed Super Bowl 16 San Francisco 49ers pinback. San Francisco won the NFC Championship in 1981 and went on to win the Super Bowl on January 24, 1982 at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit). The domed stadium saved the crowd, although the 49ers got caught in bad weather and almost didn't make it to the stadium! These are old unused stock from the Super Bowl game. All left have small spotting.
