Waylon is a country legend. He was supposed to be on the ill fated plane that crashed with Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens, but gave up his seat. He went on to receive about every country music award you can think of including a couple of Grammy's, and was one of the leaders in the outlaw country music movement along with Willie Nelson.  He passed away in 2002.  Excellent unused condition.

#CH326-24 - Johnny Weissmuller as Jungle Jim in The Lost Tribe Movie Poster/Broadside
Vintage 13" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1949 Johnny Weissmuller movie "The Lost Tribe" where Johnny starred as Jungle Jim. Please click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.

You get the pair for $3. (That's $1.50 each). These are very rare Ocean Park Penny Arcade 4 in 1 cards featuring John Wayne with a signature. These are different from the other one we have offered elsewhere in this catalog. Excellent unused condition. One card has John Wayne, Buck Jones, Don Barry, and Allan Lane. The other one has John Wayne, Bob Livingston, Dick Foran, and Buddy Roosevelt.

Ocean Park was built in Santa Monica, CA in 1958 and closed in 1967. It was a very large park that was built to compete with Disneyland. However, city planners, in an effort to renew the area, demolished buildings and closed streets all around the park so people couldn't find there way in. Even though it was a huge park, it was forced to close it's doors and the contents were auctioned off in 1968. These cards are marked "Pacific Ocean Park Arcade 1¢" on the front and have a postcard back.

Unused old stock found in an old Dairy Queen. Box they were found in is marked Sweetheart and has an old zone mark on it (Chicago 9, Illinois). They are in great condition.

Unused cork lined Tru Root Beer cork lined bottle cap from the Syrup Products Co. in Baltimore, MD and marked as such. Circa 1950. We recently found the only case of these that have ever been found. It is a very rare root beer cap with a great image of a mug on it. They were in dry storage in a sealed box and are in perfect condition. One of the nicest caps you will ever see.

He passed away in 1995, but his reputation as "the God Father of Gangster Rap", and one of the "Rap Pioneers" lives on.

Vintage 5 1/2" tall postcard of Gabby Hayes. Says "Yours for a smooth trail" in his printed writing and printed signature. These came from a collector who hoarded them a long time ago. There is a spot on the reverse for a stamp that says "Domestic one cent" "Foreign two cents". The domestic rate was raised to 2¢ in 1952, so they are at least that old and more likely from the 1940s. These are very uncommon and we are very pleased to have found them for you. Gabby Hayes appeared in numerous famous westerns. He always played the role of scruffy sidekick to the lead actor in film after film. He was a very well known actor for many years.
