#CC191 - Coca Cola "Refreshing Secret" Carton Insert

Vintage 5 3/4" tall fold out pamphlet Coca Cola carton insert. Six sided with a lady on the inside telling you about how Coca-Cola contained "80 quick-energy calories" and compares that to apples, oranges and other things people considered healthy at the time. They call it the "refreshing secret". The last copyright on the pamphlet is 1951 and they are from around that period. These are neat. We just bought part of a huge collection of Coke items. These were part of the lot. The fellow that had this stuff is a friend who searched old bottling plants and hauled most of this stuff out many years ago.

You get both passes issued for $10/pair or $7/pair if you buy multiple pairs. Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 4 1/4" tall laminated passes are marked GLOW (The gorgeous ladies of wrestling), and feature the attractive lady wrestler they called "Hollywood" who had appeared in Playboy. They are marked GLOW October 18, 19, 20, 1991. One is a Press/Photo pass. The other is a VIP/Ringside pass that would have been reserved for special people. The story of GLOW has now been made into a TV series that is running on Netflix. This is a rare item you are not going to find anywhere else.

The old stone litho images on the envelopes were probably printed in the 1940s in mass with blanks for prices and descriptions that they stamped later so they could change the prices and details later. Excellent condition.

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image of both sides. You get the pair for $2 (that's $1 each). Vintage 5 1/2" wide postcards. They both picture Rose O'Neill Kewpie images. The postcards were made in the early 1970s, and licensed from old print images. The backs tells you how to make "Flying Kewpies" out of them. You basically cut them out and glued them back to back with a string in between. Then it says you hang them from a chandelier or Christmas tree. These were made by "The Ashers" in Aurora, MO and are marked as such as part of a series they produced in 1972. Excellent unused condition.

These are from around the end of the Like a Virgin Tour that ran from 1984 - 1986. We uncovered them very recently in an old vending warehouse here locally. These licensed types are very scarce, yet easy to identify by the licensing info on the side of the button. Most of the musical pinbacks that you see for sale on Ebay or other online sites are reproductions. These licensed types retail for much higher prices. Excellent unused condition.
