#ZLW158 - Big Cat Kentucky Whiskey Bottle Label - Caterpillar Tractor

Vintage 3 3/4" tall Big Cat label says "Big Cat Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey" "General Distillers Corporation Louisville, Kentucky".  Really nice image of a Caterpillar Tractor hauling logs. Excellent unused condition. We acquired these from a long time label dealer on the west coast that we bought out.

#ZZZ016 - Group of 8 Different Tobacco Company Invoices from the 1940s
You get 8 different invoices for $2 (that is 25¢ each). Vintage dated 1940s invoices that were found in the Brockmeyer Co. warehouse in St. Louis. These are invoices (bills) from Tobacco companies that were sent to Brockmeyer. There are many famous companies in the mix and all have nice letterheads with company logos. They are fun to look at because they have the products listed. For example, i am looking at a United States Tobacco invoices showing where they bought 18 cases of Copenhagen dime tobacco. They are used of course and have typical aging, bends, and folds. We pitched the ones that were damaged, so they are all pretty nice.

#ZZZ175  - Van Camp's Pork and Beans Brochure Featuring Mrs. Josephine Culbertson

She was considered a bridge (card game) authority back in the day. Inside are recipes for Pork and Beans including info about how to decorate your bridge table. These are from the 1940s and are in nice shape with a little mionor age mark here and there. We acquired them from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest country store dealers on the East Coast. Excellent unused condition.

#BC162 - Group of 10 Early Cork Lined Delicious Punch Soda Caps
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 10 for $1.50 (that's 15¢ each). Vintage scarce cork lined Punch brand soda bottle cap. These are the old thicker cork from around 1940 or perhaps earlier. Great image of a full soda bottle and two cups with a deco look. Says "Delicious Punch Arificial Flavor and Color.  Unused old stock old stock caps in great shape for their age. You will never find any caps this age in better condition. They are very scarce and were found at the Clem Bottling Company in Marvern, Arkansas.

#BEADS0192 - Large Faceted and Foiled 18mm Glass Navettes
25¢ each. Vintage large 18mm tall glass navettes. These are the ruby ones pictured on the left. These came from an old closed bead store just north of here. They purchased them back around 1940 for use in costume jewelry. They are in nice unused condition. Larger sizes like this are scarce.

#BEADS0745 - Larger 20mm Turquoise Blue Scarab (Beetle) Glass Cabochon (U.S. Zone Germany) - As low as 50¢ each
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 20mm long solid turquoise blue scarab design glass cabachon. The pack they were in was marked U.S. Zone Germany dating them to the 1940s. Design is incised with Egyptian symbols on the bottom. We found these on a recent trip to an old warehouse up in the northeast. Excellent never seen the light of day unused condition.

#BEADSC0252 - Heavily Embossed Copper Plated Wheelbarrow Charm with Charm Loop and Moving Wheel
Vintage 1 1/8" wide copper coated wheelbarrow charm. The sides of the cart are heavily embossed with a floral design and the wheel moves. The handle has a charm loop on it. These are old store stock from the late 1940s in unused condition. Steel charms with copper plating were mostly made right after WWII when the price of these metals was very cheap. The price escalated rapidly between 1946 and 1950 and almost all of the charm makers went over to plastic. These are U.S. made.

We picked these up on our recent trip. We returned with over 100 catalog items! We found two separate warehouses loaded with beads, cameos, cabochons, charms, and other stuff that went as far back as the early 1900s.

#CH326-05  - Rare 1946 Hopalong Cassidy Trade Press Reviews Brochure
Vintage 11" tall 4 page paper brochure for 1946 Hopalong Cassidy films. Pictures Hopalong Cassidy (William Boyd), and says "Hoppy Adventures Make Stirring Dramas" "Clarence E. Mulford's Famous Hopalong Cassidy Western Action Stories Featuing William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy". Also says "Capitol Film and Radio" and "Here are the Press Reviews on our 1946 Releases". Between the front a back are 12 reviews of Hopalong Cassidy movies with William Boyd from "Film Daily". Excellent unused condition. These are very rare. We got these from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist.

They say pencil tablets on them and were standard school tablets of the day. They have advertising on them for contests you could win by sending in the covers. You could win bikes, watches, skates, etc. Says on them that the contest started in June 1946 and ran until June 1947, so they are from that time period. Nice unused old store stock in great condition. Got these out of an old store on the East Coast.

#MS252 Unused Coney Island Ticket for the Thunderbolt Wooden Roller Coaster
Vintage 2 1/8" wide ticket for the Coney Island (New York) Thunderbolt wooden roller coaster. The Thunderbolt operated from 1925 till 1982. These are 30¢ tickets from the 1940s. They came from a fellow that had a store that sold souvenirs along the Coney Island boardwalk. He was a collector and ran into this kind of stuff because he was right there on the boardwalk. They are in excellent unused condition. This is a scarce item.

These have a patent date on them of 1924, and the imaga is from that time period, but these were more likely printed in the 1940s. 1940s looking kid with a hat typical of the day pictured. These are nice. These came from the Wm. H. Gumpertz Co. in Oxnard, CA. Great unused condition.

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 12 for $12 (that's $1 each). Vintage 11" wide one bushel size Chief Joseph apple crate label. Circa 1940. Spectacular colors and very detailed image of Chief Joseph. Chief Joseph was the chief of the Wal-lam-wat-kain (Wallowa) band of Nez Perce Indians during the mid to late 1800s. He was famous as a humanitarian and peacemaker. Found at the Ryan Fruit Co. in Yakima, Washington.

#ZZZ123 - Crow Lake Lodge 1940s Fishing Brochure
Vintage 6 1/2 " tall 8 panel flyer. Mostly pictures of period people catching giant fish. There is a map on the back.  Says they would furnish you with maid service, meals, and lodging for $10 a day (Said that was the American price). Fishing guides and bait were extra. Pictures large catches of Trout, Walleyes and Northern Pike. The lodge was located in Nestor Falls, Ontario, Canada. Nice unused old stock in great condition from a friend up north who found them.
