##MUSICGD2200 - Group of 20 Different Grateful Dead Sticker/Decals

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 20 different for $35 (that's $1.75 each). Vintage 4" - 7"" tall Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals. One style was made for car windows and the other for sticking on mirrors and glass. I peeled the covers off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. They are all from the 1980s or 90s. All feature Grateful Dead themes. The ones shown in the picture are typical. See the bigger image to get a better feel for them.

These vintage Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

##MUSICBP0686 - Mr. Big OTTO Laminated VIP Backstage Pass from the 1991 Lean Into It Tour - Skull and Drills

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image of both sides of the pass. Vintage 4 1/4" tall Mr. Big OTTO laminated VIP backstage pass from the 1991 Lean Into it Tour. Great image of a skull with a top hat and crossed Makita drills. The lead guitarist from Mr. Big, Paul Gilbert, started using Makita Drills with a pick glued on the end to tap the strings on the guitar extremely fast on a song called Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy. The drills became part of their trademark. They had a number one hit in the United States with "To Be With You", and have been a major group in Japan for years (even though they are from Los Angeles). Excellent unused condition.

##MUSICBP0778 - Uncommon Pair of PHISH Cloth Aftershow Backstage Passes Featuring the Art of Roy Lichtenstein

Pair of vintage 4 1/2" tall Phish OTTO cloth backstage passes from the 1997 tour. These feature "Drowning Girl" which is a famous oil painting done in 1963 by Roy Lichtenstein and is considered one of the most representative and famous paintings of the "Pop Art Movement". They are in excellent unused condition.

PHISH is the most famous group to avoid the mainstream, and are without a doubt the most famous underground band out there. They have a worldwide cult following much like the Grateful Dead did, and refuse to compromise or produce records that conform to modern radio standards.
