Classic 1950s. Marked "Goody Barrette" "Holds Hair Securely and Comfortably" "Made in U.S.A." Old store stock in excellent unused condition.

#CS391 - Scarce Large Defender Tomato Meadow Brand Tomatoes Label on an old Wax Seal Can
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Both side of the can are pictured. Vintage large 4 1/2" tall can. The cans are all soldered seam with a wax seal tin cap. The label is a scarce can label image with a fantastic stone litho image of and old sailing ship on one side, and a giant tomato on the other. Both the label and the can are circa 1920. These are great decorator items. The cans show some aging/rust. The labels are in excellent condition. These came from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. Bob found a hoard of unused old wax sealer cans from the 1920s many years ago, and pasted these labels on them and sold them to the Cracker Barrel. You might very well see them at your local Cracker Barrel. NO FOREIGN ORDERS ON THIS ONE. Sorry - They are just too heavy.

Unused 12" tall vintage pancake bags from the I. O. A. Foods Co. in Cedar Rapids, IA. Says "Griddle Mix for Buckwheat Compound Pancakes".  This company went out of business a long time ago and these were left in the warehouse.  Circa 1950.

#CS360 - Large McConnon Tooth Powder Tin
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 5 1/4" tall McConnon Tooth Powder Tin with tin cap. Back has directions. Bottom is embossed "Made in U.S.A." These are unused old stock from around 1950 that came from the McConnon Company in Winona, Minnesota. They are marked as such. They are empty and were never filled, so they are in pretty much perfect condition. One type is darker blue than the others. Otherwise they are identical. If you order more than one, you will get both colors.

#DA096  - One Pint Polar Brand Ice Cream Box

These were found at the "Holbrook Ice Cream Co." in Detroit, Michigan. We got them from the estate of a collector in Wisconsin. These are unused old stock found at the plant are in great condition.

#CS367 - Large Unfilled Envelope for Drefs' Laxative Quinine Tablets Remedy

Says "Drefs' Laxative Quinine Tablets" "A Valuable Remedy for Coughs, Colds, Headaches, and Neuralgia". Gives Directions and more info about what they would fix. These are from no later than the 1910s. The reverse has the same info in German. Also marked "Prepared by Charles A. Drefs Wholesale and Retail Druggist 280 & 282 Broadway Buffalo, New York". These are unused old stock in excellent unfilled and unused condition. These came from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist.

#BEADS0692 - Display Card with Contraption for Restringing Bead Necklaces - Japan
Vintage 4 1/4" tall display card picturing a vintage lady wearing a necklace. Has 72 inches of nylon cord and a metal clasp on it.  Says "For restringing Bead Necklaces" "Nylon Bead Cord" "After all beads or pearls are strung, draw cord through clasp ring and back through about four pearls or beads and tie invisible knot". Back says "Made in Japan". These are unsold old store stock from the late 1950s we found in an old store up in the northeast. They had never seen the light of day. Vintage 5" tall fancy illustrated cardboard sleeve with 12 boxes of wrapped in cellophane "B B Brand Whistle Tooth Brushes" kid toothbrushes. Each individual cellophane wrapped and boxes toothbrush pictures birds sitting on a toothbrush on the back and saying "I like to Whistle" "I like to Brush". The handle of the toothbrush is a whistle. Rare store display item. These are unsold store stock from around 1950 in nice condition.

Circa 1940s with risque (for the time) illustration of a lady's legs. These are old factory stock that was never used. They have holes where the garters were supposed to go. Excellent condition.

#CS357 - Full Display Card of Deco Dress Clips from the 1920s

Vintage 8 1/2" tall display card has a dozen 1 3/4" wide real carved deco design early Bakelite type plastic dress clips attached. To give you an idea of the age, click the picture to see the backs. They were hand sewn onto the cards. The back of one is also shown in the larger picture with the standard back that was used for dress clips during this time period (1920s). They came from an old beauty supply store where, from what we can tell, they were stuffed away when the Great Depression hit in 1929. The cards are dusty and have bends. The clips are in unused mint condition under the dust.

#DA088  - Polar Junior Ice Cream Box

Marked on sides "Holbrook Ice Cream Co. 2765 Holbrook Ave." The company was in Detroit, Michigan and I believe these were the oldest items found there. We got them from the estate of a collector in Wisconsin. These are unused old stock found at the plant are in great condition.

#CS369 - Dr. Blumer's Persian Sachet Powder Envelope - As low as 50¢ each
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 3 1/2"" wide empty envelope. Pictures a lady with a veil and says "Dr. Blumer's Persian Sachet Powder. These would have contained a small packet of perfumed powder to place with handkerchiefs, lingerie, etc. These are old unused factory stock from around 1910 that were never filled. They were found in the remains of the Blumer's Warehouse in Chicago, Illinois, are in great shape.

#DA062 - Very Old Waxed Vita Oleomargarine Box - As low as $2.00 each
Vintage 5" wide when folded together waxed box. They have a great image of a fist with electricity coming out of every side, and are marked "The Baltimore Butterine Co." "VITA OLEOMARGARINE" "Copyright May 18, 1925". They are from around the late 1920s. They are very uncommon and have gone for big prices before on Ebay. Also says "U. S. instpected and passed by Department of Agriculture" and has the same image on both sides, with writing on the other two and the "VITA" logo on each box end. Old stock from the long closed plants on Willard and Catherine Streets in Baltimore, MD.  These are folded flat and were never used. They are in excellent unused condition. They came from the estate of famous dealer and friend, Bob Secrist.

Vintage 4" wide when folded together waxed box. Held one pint of ice cream. Says "Carlson's Ice Cream" "Carlson's Confectionary Elburn, ILL." One of the end flaps says "Patented June 5th, 1934". Deco Design. These are folded flat and were never used. They are in excellent unused condition. They came from the estate of famous dealer and friend, Bob Secrist.

They have a little fancier design that the other types we have listed. To give you an idea of the age, click the picture to see the backs. They were hand sewn onto the cards. They have the standard dress clips on that back that were used during this time period (1920s). This is a rare item. They came from an old beauty supply store where, from what we can tell, they were stuffed away when the Great Depression hit in 1929. The cards are dusty and have bends. The clips are in unused mint condition under the dust.

#CS162 - Group of 4 Tru-Fit Elastic Sanitary Belt Envelopes
You get 4 for $2 (that's 50¢ each). Vintage 6" tall Tru-Fit Sanitary Belt paper envelopes. These are circa 1900 and show a little very minor signs of aging, but are in good condition. They were found many years ago at the Lynas warehouse in Logansport, IN. They are marked The Logan Fabric Company. The back says "THE BELT" "is made from the finest fabric and pure rubber" etc. Said it could be reused. Great image on the front.
