#PL452 - 1968 Gulf Oil Giveaway Republican Elephant and Democratic Donkey Pins Mounted on a Display Card

Vintage 7/8" wide vintage metal pins mounted on a display card that tells the story of how they were given away at Gulf service stations in 1968. You had your choice of the elephant or the donkey. The back has a little card that they were each mounted on with the Gulf oil logo. Excellent unused condition.

These came from a collector who hoarded them a long time ago. They are from around the 1950s, are in near perfect condition and are marked "Western Art Post Card Co.". Ronald Reagan memorabilia is hard to find. We were very pleased to get these for you.

#PL178 -  Montana State Senator Letterhead and Calling Card - L. M. A. Wass
Vintage unused 11" tall letterhead stamped with the official seal of the State of Montana and marked Senator L. M. A. Wass. We will also include a calling card from the senator that was found with the unused letterhead. These are from the 1930s, but look much older. They are very detailed and nice. Very scarce and nice item.

##MUSICBP1400 -  The 2004 MTV Shady National Convention Laminated OTTO Crew Pass - Eminem, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Donald Trump

This vintage 4 1/2" tall laminated crew pass was for the MTV Shady National Convention.  This was a mock-convention in honor of the debut of Eminem's satellite radio station, Shade 45 held on November 13, 2004.  Carson Daly and Vanessa Lachey hosted the event, and Donald Trump endorsed/introduced Eminem as part of the show.  Some of the other members of the sketches were 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, P. Diddy, the members of D12, and many more.

#PL419.043 - 1948 Dewey Warren Pinback (Defeated by Truman)
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 7/8" diameter pinback button from the 1948 presidential run against Harry Truman. This was the famous election in which the newspapers headlines declared Dewey the winner before all the votes were counted, and of course, in the end Truman was the winner. They are marked "Green Duck" around the rim. Green Duck was a famous political pin maker back in the day.  Unused. Excellent condition for their age with a few very minor age marks.

Vintage keychain with 1 3/4" 48 star American flag embossed on metallized paper and encased in plastic. It slides out and has a place to put your identification info on the back. These are in nice unused condition and are old stock that we recently found at an old distributorship in Boston. They are from the 1950s.

#PL402.5 - Large Ronald Reagan Rally Paddle from the 1984 Election

Vintage 17 3/4" tall Ronald Reagan rally Sign/Paddle (they held these in the air and waved them around at rallys). They are made of thick styrofoam attached to a wooden paddle. They feature a diecut figure of Reagan with a patch that says "84" on his shirt. The bottom is marked "Copyright 1983 The Force, Inc." The term "the force" was taken from Ronald Reagan's Star Wars program which claimed we could shoot lasers from space satellites that would take down anything on the ground. Even though it never actually happened, it is one of his most famous achievements, as Russia ran scared. It was a good bit of acting from his earlier career as an actor that paid off. These are very uncommon, and will be a big hit with Reagan collectors. They are in unused condition. The backs show some minor aging. The fronts are great other than a few very minor marks. NO FOREIGN ORDERS ON THIS ONE.

Vintage 1 7/8" diameter George Wallace pinbacks.This one was made for Wallace’s 72 campaign by the Hendricks Co. in Atlanta (where they were found), but they were never issued as George canceled that campaign. Great condition.

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image of both sides. Vintage 5 1/2" wide postcard of Charles, Diana, and baby Prince William Arthur Philip Louis. The back is marked "Sovereign Series No. 3 Charles and Diana in the Antipodes" "No. 24 April 23rd, 1983. The 5-week tour by the Prince and Princess had delighted hundreds of thousands of Australians and New Zealanders, but on this day it was William that stole the show". These are unsold old store stock in excellent unused condition.

#PL419.042 - 1964 Citizens for Johnson & Humphrey Pinback
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 1 -1/2" diameter pinback button from the 1964 presidential run. A similar button was reproduced, by surprisingly, Crackerbarrel. Who knows why. Those look similar with less detail, and are marked "reproduction" around the rim. These old originals are marked "PHILA Badge Co." with the Union mark around the rim. Nice jugate image. Says "Citizens for Johnson & Humphrey". Excellent unused condition with a few minor age spots. The one in the picture is typical.

Here Pope John Paul II greets American young people at Madison Square Garden's Youth in Concert with Pope John Paul II" "October 1979". These are old stock in excellent unused condition.

#PL422 - Write in Spiro Agnew for VIce President Golf Pencil
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 3 1/2" long golf pencil. Marked "Write in Spiro Agnew for V.P.". These were all about the 1973  controversy where Spiro Agnew resigned (not related to Watergate) when it was discovered that he had taken kickbacks from contractors during his earlier time as governor of Maryland. So, this is kind of a protest pencil. Excellent unused condition. These are very uncommon.

Says "The Thinking Man's Republican" "Nixon's the One". It is filled with things to think about like Vietnam and what you are leaving for your children. Of course, Nixon won the 1968 election. Excellent unused condition.
