#BEADS0942.1 - Huge 25mm Transparent Amder Glass Cabochon with Multiple Indentations
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage huge 25mm (1.0") wide transparent amber cabochon. Flat edge rim, hollowed out back, and ground glass edge. These are very eye catching with deep indentations across them. Made in West Germany in the 1950s. We found these in the remote storage area of an old warehouse up in the northeast.

The underside is flat and has Egyptian symbols embossed in it. They are 16mm tall. They are old unsold West German stock from the 1950s. Excellent unused condition from one of our favorite haunts up in the northeast.

#CH230 - Group of 12 Ken Maynard Western Postcards
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image of both sides of the postcard. You get 12 for $6 (that's 50¢ each). Vintage 5 1/2" tall postcard of Ken Maynard in a western movie. These came from a collector who hoarded them a long time ago. They are from around the 1950s, are in near perfect condition and are marked "Western Art Post Card Co.". There is a spot on the reverse for a stamp. These are very uncommon and we are very pleased to have found them for you. Ken Maynard was a famous cowboy in the movies from the time of the silent movies into the 1940s.

#CH326-29 - Gene Autry Mule Train Movie Poster/Broadside
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 13" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1950 movie "Mule Train" starring Gene Autry and "Champion World's Wonder Horse". This was a popular movie back in the day. Please click the picture to see a more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.

Container is made of celluloid with a tin cover. We acquired them from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest country store dealers on the East Coast. Excellent unused condition.

#CS533 - Group of 12 Gay Girl Hair Clips on Display Cards

This is a 3 1/4" display card from the 1950s that says "Gay Girl". the word "gay" had a different meaning back then. "Gay" was the brand name. They are unsold old store stock that we recently rescued. They are in unused condition, but have some curls or imperfections on the cards from being stacked in storage so long.  Very rare item.

These will fit any old cottage cheese container with that size opening which was common back in the day. They are marked "Northside Dairy Creamed Cottage Cheese 16 oz. Aurora, Indiana". They are circa 1950 and in excellent unused condition. We recently purchased these out of an old collection.

#HH200 - Huge Diecut Mechanical Valentine with Cat that is a Jester Puppet - Original Envelope

The cat's head swivels on a brass grommet. Nice condition. Unusual image. The picture is set against the original envelope which is included.  From a long closed factory that made them in the 1950s. Includes original envelope. Very colorful. These days it will cost you $5 to buy a new good quality oversize card with the envelope like this. These are a real bargain.

Unused condition. 1950s. They show typical minor paper aging.
