#Cards110 16 Card Original 1940/50s Exhibit Supply 4 in 1 Cowboy Card Set

Vintage set of 16 4 in 1 Cowboy Cards that were issued by the Exhibit Supply Co.in the 1940s and 50s. These came from a closed arcade and were in the original bricks market Exhibit Supply. Don't confuse these with the later reissue set they made in 1977. This set is impossible to find in near mint condition like this and goes for $35 - $50 retail. These were cards that you paid a penny for at the local amusement park arcade. You can make some money selling these cards individually too as there are many famous stars including cards with Roy Rogers, William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy), Gene Autry, John Wayne, The Lone Ranger, and many others. This is a good set. There is at least one famous cowboy on almost every card.

##MUSICGD2040 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Dancing Terrapins (Turtles)

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 5" wide Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from around the late 1980s. It features a two dancing terrapins (turtles). The one with a guitar is a skeleton terrapin. There are butterflies in the air and four tiny bears dancing at their feet.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

#MSPRINT211 - 1907 Victorian Print - Girl with Bird - Maud Humphrey

Vintage 1907 (dated) 12 3/4" tall stone lithograph print on thin cardboard featuring a a young girl in a bonnet surrounded by daisies with a bird in her hands. This is likely the scarcest and perhaps the prettiest of all the Victorian prints. Very striking image. Marked "The Gray Litho Co. NY.". Printed signature of famous artist Maud Humphrey. These have quite a history. They are unused old stock that was originally uncovered in a San Francisco commercial building. They were donated to a museum that wanted to sell them to raise funds for a monument dedicated to Eleanor Roosevelt, but, the museum owner passed away. Now, they are here. Excellent condition. These are incredibly beautiful.
