#SIGN228 - Double Sided Florida Tangeriines Zipper- Skins Sign
#SIGN228 - Double Sided Florida Tangeriines Zipper- Skins Sign
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Fantastic vintage full color 13" tall two-sided paper sign with an image of oranges on the branch and the "Zipper" mascot saying "They're Zipper Skins". They are the same front and back. They are two separate signs that are joined at the top and were meant to hang over a wire or string. They can easily be cut apart and sold separately. These are super colorful. Marked "1979 State of Florida Department of Citrus". They came from the basement of a large store in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania called Trimble's. They got signs with their deliveries and threw them in piles in the basement. One of our long time customers rescued these (thank's Bob) and a number of others. They were never used, and are in excellent condition except for very minor aging or slight creases across the top.

#CH326-15 - Gilbert Roland in "Beauty and the Bandit" Cisco Kid Movie Poster Broadside
#CH326-15 - Gilbert Roland in "Beauty and the Bandit" Cisco Kid Movie Poster Broadside
Vintage 13" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1946 GIlbert Roland movie "Beauty and the Bandit". Says "Cisco Meets an Outlaw with Oomph" "She's fast on the draw....and faster with her kisses". The Cisco Kid movies were one of the biggest draws back in the day. Please click the picture to see a more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.

##MUSICGD2002 - Grateful Dead Tour Sticker/Decal - Bear Walking Through Illinois
##MUSICGD2002 - Grateful Dead Tour Sticker/Decal - Bear Walking Through Illinois
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 4" wide Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals. This type sticks on the outside of glass or a mirror or your pocket. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one features the Steal Your Face character (the skull) with a Grateful Dead Bear walking across the state of Illinois. These were sold during the tour that went through Illinois. These are circa 1990.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise in excellent unused condition. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.
