Vintage 1996 Counting Crows OTTO cloth backstage pass from the Recovering the Satellites Tour. They are VIP, Guest, and All Access passes. Excellent unused condition.

Counting Crows have had numerous hits spread out over a number of years. They have had several Oscar and Grammy nominations and have won an MTV Video music award and American Music Award. Their song, "Accidentally in Love" is on the Shrek 2 soundtrack. Their song, remedy, is one of my personal all time favorites.

##MUSICGD2070 - Grateful Dead Tour Sticker/Decal - Wizard Wear Skulls

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 6" tall Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals. This type sticks on the outside of glass or a mirror or your pocket. They are in mint condition and can still be used. They are marked "Wizard Wear copyright 1995". Jerry Garcia was called the Wizard, and so "Wizard Wear" made t-shirts and stickers called Wizard Wear. Some say the Wizard Wear artwork was the best of the underground artists. The decal features a snake climbing down through a pair of skulls. Excellent unused condition.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

##MUSICBQ0174 - 1986 Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Pinback Button from "Button-Up"

These licensed types are very scarce, yet easy to identify by the licensing info on the side of the button. Most of the musical pinbacks that you see for sale on Ebay or other online sites are reproductions. These licensed types retail for much higher prices. We uncovered them very recently in an old vending warehouse here locally. Excellent unused condition. Springsteen is number 23 on the "Rolling Stone Top 100 List, and numbers 24 and 37 on the "Best-Selling Albums of All-Time" list. He has been nominated for 50 Grammy Awards, and won 20 Grammy Awards, that is beyond impressive! He has sold over 65.5 million albums, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.

#SIGN095- Huge Daughters of America Cloth Banner

Vintage 17" tall circa 1920 cloth banner for the Daughters of America. They are made of light grade duck cloth (type of canvas). These are unused stock from a find many years ago. We had traded for some and set them back years ago. Now, they are nearly impossible to find. They have some very minor light rolls in the cloth that will come right out if you iron them, but they look pretty darn good just the way they are.

The Daughters of America was an American Secret Society that was founded in 1891 as an auxiliary of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics. Even though they were called Daughters, in 1979 (the last reference I could find to them) they claimed to be open to "Patriotic, white male and female citizens of good moral character, who believe in a supreme being as the creator and preserver of the universe and who favor the upholding the American Public School System and the reading of the Holy Bible in schools thereof, must be opposed to the union of Church and State; must be literate and capable of giving all the secret signs and words of the Order, or of explaining them in unable to give them by reason of some physical misfortune or defect." They didn't like "immigrants" even though all of us came from immigrants at some point and were a white only organization. They were centered here locally in Cincinnati, Ohio.
