#ZLC333 - Rare Fayette Tomato Juice Crate Label Picturing 35 Different Canned Products
#ZLC333 - Rare Fayette Tomato Juice Crate Label Picturing 35 Different Canned Products
(Click the picture to see the large image) Vintage 10 1/2" wide Fayette Tomato Juice crate label. These are deeply embossed and gilded and from around the 1920s. There are 35 different cans embossed on the label including Pumpkin, Plums, Carrots, Gooseberries, etc. Each has the brand name on them including MI-CO, J-P-M, and Fayette. Marked "Tomato Juice J. P. Michael Company, Indianapolis" "The Canned Foods House of Indiana". These are really nice and in excellent unused condition. These are the only example that I know exist and there aren't many. Each one has a barely noticeable print line crease right above the F and A in Fayette, but since these are so rare, it doesn't really matter. They came from the estate of friend and famous collector Bob Secrist.

##MUSICGD2065 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Mohawk Demon Knight Man
##MUSICGD2065 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Mohawk Demon Knight Man
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 6 1/2" tall Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from around the late 80's/90's. This features a yellow demon looking man dressed as a knight.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well "The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

We used to have the rings, but ran out a long time ago. Each card has perforations for 4 rings. Monsters and "Finks" were popular in the 60s, so they called them "Monster Finks". My now grown son and I found these when he was a little boy and we went to the auction of the AAA vending company in downtown Cincinnati. They are from the 1960s are very neat looking. This is the last of them. AAA was the manufacturer and distributor of the rings and they would push them around Halloween around the mid 1960s. Excellent never used condition.

Vintage 6 3/4" tall Coca Cola Dry Server with a picture of a girl with her roller skates over her left shoulder and a bottle of Coke in her right in front of a Coke cooler. The refrigeration in the old machines made the bottles sweat, so you put the bottle in one of these sleeves to keep them dry. Some people call them bottle bags, but the are really sleeves. Dated 1932. These are in exceptional condition. These are from a huge collection of Coke items a friend had who searched old bottling plants and hauled this stuff out many years ago.

You Can Help with as little as $1
I (Don) have spent over 20 years roaming around digging out inventory for you guys. I work for you, and love doing it! Now, I need some help. My singer (Lola) and I (My stage name is ChordSlinger) are trying to complete a studio quality CD, but it is outrageously expensive. So, I got to thinking. If I could get some of you to donate a small amount (even $1), maybe we could gather the money to complete the CD. It is my dream. I appreciate you reading this. Shipping costs are not incurred on this item.  We are very close to finishing the album now.  Perhaps within the next 6 months!
