#SIGN163 - Group of 14 Different Paper Diecut Diner/Deli Food Signs

(You get 14 for $7.00 - that's only 50¢ each!). These are fantastic. Please click the picture to get a larger, more complete, and detailed view of them. Vintage diecut paper signs that were made in the 1950s for use in diners and delis. Sandwiches, trays, Apple pie, a cup of steaming cocoa, and even a cantaloupe. The largest is 12" Wide and sizes vary as you can see in the picture. They are bright and colorful. These are larger and more colorful than many of the cardboard ones. They are old stock found in Pennsylvania. We had been on the trail of these for a couple of years. One of our customers tipped us off to the location. Thanks Norman. These were printed in 1951. They were found at a distributor still in their shipping boxes dated 1953. These have the look and are about as 1950s as you can get.

#CH624 - Licensed Rocky Horror Show Pinback - Pictures Rocky Horror Show Logo

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 1 1/2" diameter Rocky Horror Show pinback featuring the Rocky Horror show logo. Marked "Copyright 1983 Twentieth Century Film Corp", and "Button-up" around the rim. The Rocky Horror Show is widely considered the most successful movie to develop a massive cult following. To this day, when the movie is shown at a large theater, it is a big event. Fans bear buttons and signs and sing along and speak all the lines while the movie is going on. These old licensed pinbacks are not common. Most you see on Ebay are modern. These are the old originals. We uncovered them in an old vending warehouse here locally. Excellent unused condition.

##MUSICBQ0222 - Iron Maiden Logogram Postcard

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image (both sides pictured). Vintage 5 7/8" postcard with the Iron Maiden logo on the front. 1980s. Marked "Copyright 1984 Iron Maiden Holdings" on the reverse. They are unused, but do show some very minor edge wear and light aging on the reverse. The one pictured is typical. These are very scarce.

##MUSICGD2034 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Skeleton Playing Guitar

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage larger 6" tall Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from around 1990. It features a guitar playing skeleton with a corsage made from one of the character Berth's roses and lightning bolts.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These older stickers are very hard to find anymore.
