#TZCards068 - Complete 32 Card Set of Exhibit Supply Blind Date for Women Cards
#TZCards068 - Complete 32 Card Set of Exhibit Supply Blind Date for Women Cards
Vintage complete 32 card set of Exhibit Supply Blind Date cards. This is the version that was meant for females with pictures of guys and silly stories about them. They were originally printed in 1941 (dated) and so have lots of soldiers and those sorts of themes. Like most of their cards, they made these for another ten or twenty years after. This set is becoming nearly impossible to find. We had an unopened brick of the cards we assembled these from and they are pretty much perfect. You won't find a mint set for this kind of price anywhere else.

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Both side of the can are pictured. Vintage large 4 1/2" tall can. The cans are all soldered seam with a wax seal tin cap. The label is a scarce can label image with a fantastic stone litho image of and old sailing ship on one side, and a giant tomato on the other. Both the label and the can are circa 1920. These are great decorator items. The cans show some aging/rust. The labels are in excellent condition. These came from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. Bob found a hoard of unused old wax sealer cans from the 1920s many years ago, and pasted these labels on them and sold them to the Cracker Barrel. ##MUSICGD2047 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Pictures a Crab with a Skull Body Pierced by a Sword
##MUSICGD2047 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Pictures a Crab with a Skull Body Pierced by a Sword
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 5 1/4" tall Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from around 1990. It pictures a crab that has a skull for a body with a sword piercing it.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These older stickers are very hard to find anymore.
