##MUSICGD2057 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Skull in a Colorful Eye

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 6 3/4" wide Grateful Dead sticker/decal. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from around the late 1980/90s. It features a skull in the pupil of a colorful eye.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

#MSPRINT151 - 1909 Victorian Print - Lady with Lanterns and Mandolin - Maud Strumm

Vintage 1909 (dated) 12 3/4" tall stone lithograph print on thin cardboard featuring a lady in a red dress playing a Mandolin with lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Beautifully detailed image. Marked "The Gray Litho Co. NY.". Printed signature of famous artist Maud Strumm. These have quite a history. They are unused old stock that was originally uncovered in a San Francisco commercial building. They were donated to a museum that wanted to sell them to raise funds for a monument dedicated to Eleanor Roosevelt, but, the museum owner passed away. Now, they are here. Excellent condition. These are incredibly beautiful.

#BEADS0593 - Large 28mm Black and Gold Glass Intaglio Featuring a Harness Race - As low as $1 each

Vintage 28mm (1.1") wide intaglio. The gold backed glass with reverse painted incised black color give these a 3D image. Flat back. This is the older German (Not West German) type. They were imported by Ginsburg in New York sometime between 1946 and 1948. Perfect condition. They picture a man with a whip seated in a harness racer and the horse. There is also a flag showing they are just crossing the finish line. Very few of these have ever been found in perfect condition, but here they are. The depth effect in the picture is excellent. We found these at one of our favorite haunts up in the northeast.
