Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 24 Beads for $3.50 (16¢ each). Vintage temporary strand of fancy Cherry Brand Japanese Baroque beads. They are heavy 12mm diameter transparent sapphire blue colored glass beads. The glass is very beautiful with dimples (they called it Baroque on the master case). These were made by hand using old techniques. The crude shapes and unusual dimple really enhance the look. These are 1940s Cherry Brand (company only existed from 1946 - 1951). As you may know, Cherry Brand was considered the highest quality Japanese bead maker. This is a very fresh find we made from a dealer in New York who originally purchased them in the 1940s. These are very hard to find, very nice, and have never seen the light of day.

Ali introduced his famous Rope-a-Dope tactic and knocked foreman out in the 8th round. It was a huge upset. This pass is not real common and has great subject matter. ##MUSICGD2038 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Bear in Bus Saying Who are the Dead
##MUSICGD2038 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Bear in Bus Saying Who are the Dead
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage larger 10" wide Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from the 1980s. It features a bear waving from his Volkswagen bus and saying "Who are the Dead and Why are They Following Me.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

#CH326-24 - Johnny Weissmuller as Jungle Jim in The Lost Tribe Movie Poster/Broadside
#CH326-24 - Johnny Weissmuller as Jungle Jim in The Lost Tribe Movie Poster/Broadside
Vintage 13" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1949 Johnny Weissmuller movie "The Lost Tribe" where Johnny starred as Jungle Jim. Please click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.
