##MUSICBP1201 - 7 Different Larry Doby Laminated OTTO Passes for the 1997 All-Star Fan Fest

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. 7 Different Larry Dobby All-Star Fan Fest Passes (Media, Preformer, Collectors Showcase, VIP, Facility, MVP Exhibitor, and Exhibitor). You get the 7 pictured for $20 (that's $2.80 each). On the back of the passes it says "This pass and the privileges associated with it remain the property of Major League Baseball." On the front of the pass it says "Pinnacle". Doby was the American Leagues second African American player, and (with his teammate Satchel Paige), was the first African-American player to win a World Series Championship. He was a seven-time All-Star center fielder. He made it into the National Baseball Hall of Frame in 1998.

##MUSICGD2060 - Grateful Dead Window Sticker/Decal - Skeleton in Space "The Twilight Bone"

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 4 1/2" diameter Grateful Dead sticker/decal. This one has a skeleton in a suit in outer space with the words, " The Twilight Bones" above it. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from around the late 1980s.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well "The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

#CC281 - Bottle Logo 1940 Coca Cola Route Receipt from the Wilkes-Barre Coca-Cola Bottling Plant

Vintage 6 1/4" tall late route receipt from the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. These are all dated 1940 and have the Wilkes-Barre logo with a bottle pictured (the name of this plant changed to Keystone later in the 1940s). Says "Wilkes-Barre Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania". These are old receipts that were still hanging around the plant. They were used and show who the order was sold to and how many cases of Coke and Soda Water they bought minus empty bottles and cases they returned. They are in very good shape. Most will have a couple of tiny staple pinholes. Coca Cola route receipts are becoming widely collected as Coke checks have gotten scarcer and more expensive. You can still assemble a nice collection of receipts from many different plants for a very reasonable price.
