#CH326-32 - Gilbert Roland in "Riding the California Trail" Cisco Kid Movie Poster Broadside
#CH326-32 - Gilbert Roland in "Riding the California Trail" Cisco Kid Movie Poster Broadside
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 12 3/4" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1947 GIlbert Roland movie "Riding the California Trail". Says "The Cisco Kid... Too Rough for the Law But Just Right For the Ladies!". The Cisco Kid movies were one of the biggest draws back in the day. Please click the picture to see a more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.

##MUSICGD2035 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Grateful Dead Bears Juggling a Skeleton
##MUSICGD2035 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Grateful Dead Bears Juggling a Skeleton
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 4 1/2" diameter Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from around the late 1980s and has an artist signature Jeremy. It features two grateful dead bears juggling a skeleton with their feet. The skeleton has his arms raised as if to say Wheeeee.....

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

##MUSICBQ0238 - Group of 3 LL Cool J Pinback Buttons from "Button-Up"
##MUSICBQ0238 - Group of 3 LL Cool J Pinback Buttons from "Button-Up"
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 3 for $2.40 (that's 80¢ each). Vintage 1 1/2" diameter pinback with a colorful image of the cover of the Walking with a Panther" album. Marked "Copyright 1989 USH around the rim, and from the 1980s. It also says "It also says "Button-Up Co. 2011 Austin" (Please note - 2011 Austin Drive, Troy MI was their address, and the "2011" is often mistaken for the date - they are substantially older than that). The Button-Up info is very hard to read because it is black print on a black part of the button. I had to get my magnifying glass out. These licensed types are very scarce, yet easy to identify by the licensing info on the side of the button. Most of the musical pinbacks that you see for sale on Ebay or other online sites are reproductions. These licensed types retail for much higher prices. We uncovered them very recently in an old vending warehouse here locally. Excellent unused condition.

Origin: Stanmore, Bay Shore, NY

Genre: Hip Hop, Rap

Tour: Walking with a Panther 1989

Condition: Unused
