#ZBOT401- Group of 3 different Mucilage (Glue) Bottle Labels
#ZBOT401- Group of 3 different Mucilage (Glue) Bottle Labels
You get 3 different vintage 1" to 5" wide glue bottle labels from the group shown in the picture for $.75 (that's 25¢ each). Specific ones will vary. They all came out of the Diamond Ink warehouse in Milwaukee and are from different time periods around 1900 and 1940. The four turn of the century ones say mucilage/cement on them and one even says it can be used for gluing crockery together. The three from around 1940 are all school paste labels. They are all wonderful labels to put on old bottles. Nice unused condition.

#SIGN263 - Crisp-aire Two-Sided McIntosh Apple Cardboard Sign

It says "Crisp-aire McIntosh from New York and New England Orchards" on the front with a space to write in the price. The backs says a lot of the same thing in a vertical format. The sign could be used either way.. These are from the 1960s when Crisp-aire McIntosh Apples were very popular. They came from the basement of a large store in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania called Trimble's. The store got signs with their deliveries and threw them in piles in the basement. They were never used, and are in very good condition.

##MUSICGD2010 - Grateful Dead Tour Sticker/Decal - Blacklight Skull Chewing on a Sword
##MUSICGD2010 - Grateful Dead Tour Sticker/Decal - Blacklight Skull Chewing on a Sword
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 5 1/2" wide Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals. This type sticks on the outside of glass or a mirror or your pocket. They are in mint condition and can still be used. They are marked "Steve Hidock copyright 1992". The decal features a purple skull chewing on a sword with blood spewing from it's mouth. Excellent unused condition.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.
