The artists listed the top artists in 1983. You picked your favorite from the list. The list itself is quite a trip back in time. Some of them listed are The Byrds, Johnny Cash, Donovan, Bill Haley and the Comets, Janis Joplin, Santana, Frank Zappa, and many more. You had to enter by April 30, 1983 to to win one of 1600 coke prizes. These are old stock in excellent unused condition.

It says on the side "This product is not to be used medicinally. It is used in the pickling of meats. These are unused stock from around 1950 that came out of storage locally. They are heavy. Backs are the same. The five digit phone number dates them to sometime in the 1930s. Someone meticulously removed the matches a long time ago. You will never see any match cover in better condition. They came from the estate of the late Larry "The Bottleman" Johnson, who was a friend. Larry was a picker his whole life, and he will be missed by the antique community.

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage Dennis the Menace Happy Birthday table cloth. When unfolded these are a full 8 feet long by 4 feet wide. They have repeated images that say "Happy Birthday" and picture Dennis and friends. Marked "Copyright Hank Ketchum Enterprises, Inc." on one panel. Circa 1970s. They are very uncommon. They came from a long closed warehouse in the Chicago area. We uncovered them very recently. There are 12 sections on the table cloth that show Dennis and friends. One section has some slight aging discoloration as shown in the large picture. The rest are in excellent condition and super colorful. Unsold old store stock.

Fun image. The picture is set against the original envelope which is included.  From a long closed factory that made them in the 1950s. Includes original envelope. Very colorful. These days it will cost you $5 to buy a new good quality oversize card with the envelope like this. These are a real bargain.

The fellow that had this stuff is a friend who searched old bottling plants and hauled most of this stuff out many years ago. They are in excellent unused condition.

These are from the late 1960s, and are in perfect unused condition. They really have the look of the day and would be great for a late 1960s period piece.

These are early West German plastic from the 1950s and indistinguishable from glass except they are lighter weight. Flat back. Perfect, never seen the light of day condition. We found these on a recent trip to the northeast to a warehouse that has not seen the light of day for many years.

Yes, you are reading that right. These are extremely old. No two alike. They are 8 pages of interesting things from around the world. All have illustrations. They were published every Saturday by Charles Knight in London, England. Typical age imperfections, but still very readable and interesting. The one shown in the picture is typical.
